Frank’s Redhot Buffalo Chicken Wings
This is adapted from a recipe on Frank’s RedHot website. These are spicy hot! I recommend recipe #344853 as a condiment!

|2 1/2 lbs chicken wings|
|1/2 cup Frank’s red hot sauce|
|1/3 cup butter, melted|
|3 celery ribs, sliced in lengths as for dipping|
|1/2 cucumber, sliced|
|1/2 cup blue cheese, dip|
- If Frank’s RedHot Buffalo Wings Sauce is not available, mix together the Frank’s Red Hot Sauce with the butter.
- Bake wings in foil-lined pan at 500°F on lowest oven rack for 20 to 25 minutes until crispy, turning once. ALTERNATIVELY: Deep-fry at 375°F for 10 minutes OR broil 6-inches from heat 15 to 20 minutes, turning once OR grill over medium heat 20 to 25 minutes turning often.
- Toss wings in Buffalo Wings Sauce to coat.
- Serve with blue cheese dip and/or cucumber slices and/or celery slices if desired.

Franks Red Hot Wings Buffalo Sauce This is my sauce of choice for both chicken wings and Buffalo Chicken Dip. Its a ready made buffalo wing sauce that is a bit milder than Franks Original. It will still give your dip a nice kick with a spice level of about 3 out of 10 on my heat scale. I think its more suitable for a group and it has that true Buffalo wings flavor that really adds a lot to the dip.

- Use cooked chicken. Rotisserie chicken is the best for this because its perfectly cooked and you can mix white and dark meat for more flavor.

- 2 packages cream cheese
- 2 cans chunk chicken, drained and chopped
- 1 cup ranch or blue cheese dressing
- 2 to 3 tablespoons buffalo wing sauce
Combine cream cheese, dressing, buffalo wing sauce and chicken in a microwave-safe bowl. Stir until smooth. Cover and cook about 2 minutes, until hot.
Let the dipping begin!

I make my buffalo chicken dip in many ways. Today I went with the same recipe I used in my buffalo chicken stuffed mushrooms. I used to use canned chicken but I found that rotisserie chicken tastes better and has less carbs. Thats why I buy rotisserie chicken, clean off the meat and freeze it for recipes like this.
So the ingredients I used were cooked rotisserie chicken, hot sauce, cheddar cheese, cream cheese, mayonnaise and garlic. If you want you could use canned chicken and you can also adjust the amount of hot sauce you use.
I keep cooked chopped rotisserie chicken in the freezer for low carb recipes like this.

Buffalo chicken dip takes minutes to whip up! However, if your planning ahead and dont want to get the mixer dirty heres how you can freeze Buffalo Chicken Dip.
How To Freeze Buffalo Dip: Prepare buffalo chicken dip as directed only DO NOT bake. Transfer dip into a freezer zip-lock bag and freeze. When ready to use thaw and bake as directed.
To Reheat: Thaw dip and bake as directed.
I do not recommend freezing already baked buffalo chicken dip as the more you reheat buffalo sauce the more prone itll be to separate and get greasy.

- Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.
- Prepare the recipe as directed in the recipe card below. Then pour into a medium baking dish and sprinkle 1/2 cup of the shredded cheddar cheese on top and bake for 15-20 minutes or until bubbly. Its then ready to eat!
A great way to keep this warm is to use a crockpot on the counter or to take with you on the go!
If you bake it in a dish, use a thermal carrier to keep your dish warm. I love mine and use it often!
Note: You can also bake for 20 minutes or until the mixture is heated through and its hot and bubbly.
Tips For Making Buffalo Chicken Dip:
Soften the cream cheese: If you forget to soften your cream cheese, heat uncovered in the microwave in 15-second increments until its softened. It really wont matter in this recipe since the end product is baked and melted.
Use canned or fresh chicken. In this recipe, I use canned chicken because it makes the whole process even easier since I always have canned chicken in my pantry. If you prefer to use cooked Rotisserie Chicken, you can substitute 1 can of chicken with 1 1/2 cups of shredded cooked chicken breast.
