Cooking Sausage In An Airfryer
This is the best way EVER to cook sausage. These are chicken and apple sausages so there is hardly any fat. They totally tasted like they were cooked outside on the grill!
I used Aidells precooked Chicken & Apple Sausage although any chicken sausage would do.
I used the “grill pan” accessory for the Phillips Airfryer to cook the sausages. Do not prick the sausages they will split open a little on their own.
How To Serve This Chicken Apple Sausage Recipe
The best thing about this sheet pan meal is that you have a full meal ready to go as soon as it comes out of the oven! If you want to add something more to this meal you can serve it along side quinoa or rice.
I like to use the leftovers for salads. I serve it cold over lettuce with pomegranate seeds, cut up apple and this simple apple cider vinaigrette.
Lets Make A Chicken Apple Sausage Sheet Pan Supper
Step 1: Prep ingredients
Next, trim the ends off of the brussels sprouts and quarter the sprouts. Slice sausages into slices on the diagonal.
Step 2: Bake and broil
Then, bake at 425F for 40 minutes tossing once halfway through baking. After 40 minutes increase the heat to a broil.
Broil until the ingredients are a nice golden brown no more than 5 minutes. Finally, remove from the oven and enjoy!
Step 4: Enjoy!

Ive changed things up a bit and am using one of my favorite sausages chicken apple. There is something about the flavor combo that I just love. Plus, it seems especially fitting for fall.
What I love most about this recipe is that it comes together SO quickly. I kid you not. Thirty minutes tops. Its all done in one pan, so cleanup is a breeze as well. And on top of all that, this recipe is super flavorful. The pasta actually cooks in chicken stock, cream, and the juice from the tomatoes. Yum!
The variations to this recipe are endless. Throw in any type of sausage or meat and feel free to add whatever veggies you like. You can even switch up the cheese. Im already thinking about using steak, Gorgonzola, and sun-dried tomatoes the next time I make this. Sounds like heaven in a pan!

I know I mentioned to yall a couple of weeks ago when I posted the Nutella Smores Bars that my hubby and I had embarked on this crazy journey called the Whole30. We were very successful for about 2 and a half weeks before we kind of gave it a rest. We didnt give up completely, but we did start to add some things back in namely sugar and cheese!
Those were the most challenging to give up for me, which was surprising because I truly thought I would struggle more with giving up bread. Honestly, Ive probably only eaten bread or something similar a handful of times since we stopped the Whole30. Ive also been making Paleo dinners nearly every night, so we are trying to stick with it as best we can. But chocolate? I just CAN. NOT. give that up! I missed it so much Im pretty sure I had dreams about it.
The other thing I found that I just cant live without is butter. Whole30 limits the types of fats that you can use for cooking, and since butter contains dairy, its not compliant. I gave Ghee a good college-try, I really did. But man, I just couldnt get on board with the taste. I would rather cook with coconut oil or olive oil than with Ghee. Its probably one of those things that you just have to acquire a taste for, but for me? I think Ill just stick with good ole butter.

Being gluten-free can obviously be a challenge but it can also be simple when you can find ingredients like Barilla® Gluten Free Pasta and Aidells® Sausage. I decided to combine these two products along with my favorite white sauce to create Chicken & Apple Sausage Pasta Bowls, which is completely gluten-free too!
One thing my family truly loves is pasta, so when I had to go gluten-free we still needed a good pasta option. Thankfully, we found one with Barilla®. They offer a wide variety of pasta noodles that are gluten-free and they cook just like regular noodles would. I was able to whip up this meal in just under 30 minutes!
I decided to add in some fresh peppers that we had picked up along with parsley too. I like the combination of fresh foods in this dish, the peppers complimented the noodles and sausage too giving it a delicious flavor.
The pasta is a combination of corn and rice with the classic taste and texture, then the sausage is a no nitrate and no hormone product that comes fully-cooked. I put these in our toaster oven actually and just baked them for a few minutes and they were ready to go! Weve enjoyed these several times now as a stand alone item too.

I encourage you to enlist those little helpers since youre making dinner for them. It teaches them to serve others and take some responsibility, both attitudes our children need to learn, so really, you are doing them a favor.

Ben and I kicked Friday night off with date night downtown, which started with drinks and ended with cake Flourless chocolate cake from Cafe di Scala, to be exact. This sweet slice, complete with a birthday candle as Ben kept accidentally blowing out our romantic tabletop candle was so dense and fudgy that it tasted like chocolate truffles in cake form. Wow, wow, wow!
Weve been wanting to eat at the southern Italian eatery located in an incredibly romantic, old Victorian mansion for years, and Im so glad we finally went. Every single thing we ordered, from bolognese sauce over baked polenta, to homemade sweet squash stuffed pasta with brown butter, was absolutely mouthwatering. Locals: this is a must try. Im embarrassed that it took us this long to go!
The rest of the weekend could not have been more beautiful, so my Mom and I headed to the farmers market bright and early on Saturday morning. The air was crisp and the sun was shining it really felt like fall.
I left the little man at home to hang with Dad so we could take our time strolling the streets, and savoring every last cheesy morsel of our Pupusa, which was epic, btw.
