What Is Low Carb
A low carb meal is a meal that is lower in carbs pretty straight forward but not really. For most low carb diets , instead of just lowering carbs you also want to focus on lowering simple carbs that are high in sugar, and focus more on carbs that are complex carbs and those that have great amounts of fibre.
The standard recommendation for carbs is 300g a day. This lifestyle left my sluggish, tired and with high anxiety. Generally a low carb diet means eating 100g to 150g per day. I tend to stay below 100g on most days, sometimes carb cycling up to 150g on some days to switch it up so I dont get bored and my body doesnt get used to it.
Quick And Easy Protein Bites
5.4 grams protein, 6.2 grams carbohydrates per 100 calories
These protein balls are a bit of a double-edge, because its easy to eat a ton of them.
The ingredients are cheap if bought in bulk, and it only takes a few minutes to make, using common main ingredients:
- Protein powder
- Chia seeds
Its tempting to swap out some of the oats for more protein powder or chia seeds, but thats going to change the overall taste significantly.
Id recommend making this normally first, and then reduce the oat content gradually if you really want to lower the carbohydrate percentage more.
Finally, you can make a ton of these in bulk and just freeze the extra, theyll last for weeks in the freezer.

How Long Does Low Carb Vegetarian Chili Last
If you want to leave your chili out for a party or one of those all-day-snacking events that you sometimes have if youve got kidswell, Id recommend using the slow cooker to keep it warm. But you can definitely keep it out for a day and not have to worry.
To keep your low carb chili overnight, though, it definitely needs to be in an airtight container in the fridge.
In the fridge, this chili recipe will last at least 7-10 days, as long as youre putting it in an airtight containerthats really key to keep it from getting eww.
Then, you can just pop them into a microwave-safe bowl and warm it up.

Place olive oil in a large stock pot over medium low heat.
Add diced onion, celery, and bell pepper.
Sautee these veggies until theyre tender and the onions are translucent.
Add vegetable juice, stock, water, diced tomatoes , diced tomatoes with chilies , and squash.
Stir to combine.
Season the chili with chili powder, paprika, garlic powder, cumin, black pepper, and cayenne.
