But the real draw is the flaming garnish, which you can re-create by igniting a rum-soaked lime husk.

Spiced Pear And Bourbon Sparkler

Combine 1 cup pear juice, a 2-inch nub of ginger peeled and sliced, 2 cinnamon sticks, and 5 cloves in a pot. Cover and simmer over low heat for 10 minutes. Take off the heat and add 1/4 cup lightly packed brown sugar. Stir until fully mixed, cool, and strain. This is your Spiced Pear Simple Syrup, and it can last in the fridge for up to one week. Pour 1.5 ounces of Bourbon, the syrup, 0.5 ounces of lemon juice, and ice into a cocktail shaker and shake for 30 seconds or until the surface of the cocktail shaker is cool to the touch. Strain over a chilled coupe glass and top with Prosecco.

Key Lime Pie Moonshine Cocktail

Do you love key lime pie? If so, youve got to try this key lime pie moonshine cocktail.

It has some sensational bold flavors that really taste like the delicious dessert. And it all starts with a base of moonshine and key lime juice.

Add a dash of vanilla simple syrup to help sweeten it, then serve it over ice with a lime wedge.

To finish that pie effect, rim the glass with crushed Graham Crackers!

First of all, how stunning is this drink?

The slippery golden peaches look lovely pushing against the white ice cubes and green basil leaves.

Needless to say, it smells incredible too. The peach and basil complement each other flawlessly, giving you a warm sweetness in every sip.

Then, theres the moonshine and a bit of simple syrup to balance the whole thing. Every sip is like a cool breeze on a hot summer day.

The Best Big Batch Cocktail Recipes For Parties

20 Classic Christmas Cocktails | Holiday Cocktail Recipe Compilation | Perfect for Parties

With the world trying mightily to return to normal, gatherings of some kind or another are becoming a real possibility. Should you elect to host some of your closest pals or neighbors , or just some people you havent seen in 18 months, youd be wise to have some drinks at the ready. And the best way to entertain while taking the edge off is through the big batch cocktail.

Thomas Mizuno-Moore is the senior beverage manager at Aba, a Mediterranean restaurant based in Chicago with satellite spots in Austin and Miami. He knows the power of a good large-format cocktail and is responsible for the Shady Beach and Picnic Basket recipes , below. Theres nothing worse than inviting a bunch of people over and then having to be the bartender all night, he says. You can make a batch ahead of time and then relax and socialize with your guests.

Doing it is a simple matter of ratios, really. But as Mizuno-Moore suggests, begin small and pay attention to more powerful ingredients. Multiply a regular cocktail recipe by the number of total drinks you want to make and, voila, thats the large format recipe, he says. Be careful when using bitter or spicy ingredients as those dont scale linearly. My advice would be to start with half of what you think you need and then slowly increase until it tastes the way you want.
