As much as fall is my favorite time of year, it brings with it a pace that can make having the time for good nutrition a challenge.

Some days, I really just dont have the time/energy/appetite for making breakfast. When I do, Im all about the pancakes and waffles, but some days, especially when I sleep through an alarm or two , I need something quick. This Iced Coffee Protein Shake has become an absolute staple. Its filling, gets me my caffeine fix, and is only 1 WW SP.

What Can I Add To My Protein Shake To Gain Weight

To gain weight by drinking protein shakes, add ingredients like avocado, nut butter, healthy oils like coconut oil, and extra protein sources like oats. Make sure you have a full-fat milk in there such as dairy milk or coconut milk.

Almond and cashew milk are good for adding in calories, too.

Have 2-3 small protein shakes a day and be sure to focus on healthy foods like whole grains and lean proteins for extra muscle-building power.

Stay away from processed foods they will not help you gain weight in a healthy way. Instead, they can lead to inflammation.

Combine ingredients in a blender and mix for 1 minute. This recipe makes a 24oz shake, and I used my favorite blender the Nutri Ninja Blender.

I garnished the top for looks, but everything will be well blended after 1 minute. I also put the smoothie in the refrigerator while I get ready for my workout, so it has extra time to chill.
