What Ingredients Do I Need

HIDDEN VALLEY FIESTA RANCH DIP ~COPYCAT RECIPE~

This recipe only requires 4 ingredients! Here’s what you’ll need:

  • Plain greek yogurt – This will create the creamy texture for the dip.
  • Ro-Tel – The original Ro-Tel is a can of diced tomatoes with green chiles. I use the original flavor, but there are several flavor options, all of which will work for this recipe.
  • Sharp cheddar cheese – Most of the cheese will mix into the dip and a bit will be left to sprinkle on top.
  • 1 packet ranch seasoning – Ranch seasoning can either be bought in a bottle or in individual packets. It’s KEY for the ranch part of this fiesta dip!

Healthy Fiesta Ranch Dip

In an effort to make a more nutritious fiesta ranch dip, there are just a few substitutions to the standard recipe. This fiesta ranch dip still has the ranch seasoning and rotel, but uses plain greek yogurt for the creamy texture instead of cream cheese. You can add as many vegetables and seasonings as you wish, but there are only 4 ingredients in this recipe to keep things easy. All you do is mix everything together and serve! Enjoy this with tortilla chips or vegetables.

What Can I Substitute For Fiesta Ranch Dressing

Fiesta Ranch mix packets are hard to find in many areas. Since their recipe is copyright protected it is hard to know what exactly is in it.

For a super simple fiesta ranch mix copycat recipe combine half a packet of taco seasoning and half of packet of ranch seasoning. Then use your new seasoning mixture as you would the store-bought packet.

Homemade Fiesta Ranch Dip

Sweet Little Bluebird: Fiesta Ranch Dip

I just realized calling this Homemade Fiesta Ranch Dip might be a bit of a stretch. The recipe is more like Semi-Homemade Fiesta Ranch Dip because it uses a regular Hidden Valley Ranch Packet and has added spices to give it the fiesta flavor. We could all use a little more fiesta in our life, right!? If you arent a fan of ranch packets, I have a Homemade Ranch Dip recipe that you can use and then add the fiesta spices to it.

Granted, this recipe is not going to taste identical to the packet, but its pretty close. The packet has two ingredients that most people do not have in their spice cupboardtomato powder and red bell pepper powder. You can technically order those things, but you can also just make it as is and still get a nice flavorful dip that tastes great with veggies, on chili, in tacos or burritos, and even as a layer for my Ultimate Seven Layer Dip.

Give this easy dip a try next time you throw together a veggie tray! Its a great way to add an extra level of yum to anything you normally serve ranch or sour cream with!

Can You Make This Dip In Advance

2 DIP RECIPE | FIESTA RANCH AND JALAPENO POPPER DIP

One of the most common questions I get about party dips is whether or not you can make them in advance. I totally understand why someone would want to do this, as its easier to prepare treats for a party the night before than scrambling to get everything done the day of the event.

The good news is that the answer to this question is almost always yes, and that is the case for this dip.

To refrigerate this dip: Add dip to a bowl with a sealable lid. Secure lid and store in the refrigerator for up to two days. When ready to serve, you can set the dip out immediately theres no need to let it get to room temperature first. This dip is best served chilled.

Due to the combination of veggies, cheese, and dairy in this recipe, freezing this dip is not recommended.

Fiesta Ranch Dip Recipe

Todays recipe is one of my favorites! Mostly because of how easy it is, but also because it is unbelievably delicious! It doesnt look like much, but I promise you will love it!

Before I share this super easy dip recipe with you, I have to first tell you a quick story about how I first fell in love with this copycat fiesta ranch dip!

My local church puts on a Taste of the Seasons each year in December. Basically a bunch of families pile in and share a delicious recipe. We put the samples out on the tables for everyone to try and everyone gets to take home a cookbook.

It is by far one of my favorite times of the year! It is probably my husbands favorite part of the Christmas season. I mean what man doesnt like to eat?!

Well, one year, my friend Deanna, made this Fiesta Ranch Dip recipe with sour cream and I couldnt stop eating it. I took more than my fair share of samples.

In fact I might have gotten a few people to go get more samples so she wouldnt know I was going back to for seconds I mean fourths!

So Christmas Eve rolls around and I decided to make this recipe for my husbands family. Everyone was raving about how good it was.

Me, being the smart person I am, took complete credit for the recipe. Haha! Ok, I really didnt, but I cant say that I didnt think about it!

How Long Does This Dip Last

You can make Fiesta Ranch Dip in advance if needed. It comes together so quickly that most of the time you shouldnt have to. It can keep in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.

This dip should not be kept at room temperature for more than 2 hours. Keep that in mind while serving it at a party. I like to place my dip bowl inside a larger bowl filled with ice to help it maintain temperature a little longer.

If your dip has been left out for longer than 2 hours, it is safest to throw the rest away.

If it is a little soupy that is ok. Leave the lid off for a little bit and the liquid will disappear. I think it is good with a little sauce though personally.

Instead of the usual Rotel I used petite diced tomatoes drained, as my little kids dont like the spice from Rotel.

    • Greek yogurt To make this dairy free, choose a plant-based yogurt. For an even creamier texture, you can opt for cream cheese or sour cream.
    • Cheese Adding more cheese will make this better. I like to add sharp cheddar cheese, but adding another favorite or more cheese would only help make this dip cheesier.
    • Ranch seasoning I do NOT recommend changing this ingredient! It is KEY to the awesome flavor of the fiesta dip.
    • Ro-Tel – I like using a can of Ro-Tel because it keeps things easy. However, you can use fresh vegetables or another kind of canned tomato and chili combo if you prefer!

    About Fiesta Ranch Dip

I always love it when I show up to a party and find a fiesta ranch dip, but for some occasions, a good homemade chip dip almost feels a like an absolute requirement. Like it would be a total faux pas to show up and not find a delicious bowl of dip and chips just ready to be devoured

Now, homemade chip dip is always a hit no matter the time or the reason, but Im not sure why some events feel not quite right without it. Maybe it has to do with the time of year, or the other foods being served at the same time, or maybe even what activities are going on, but somehow or another there are some moments that just dont feel right when an appetizer like this fiesta corn dip is missing.

And for me, Cinco de Mayo is one of those holidays.

This probably has to do with the fun beginning-of-summer atmosphere or the tasty drinks that are being served, but May 5th would just feel empty without salty tortilla chips covered in a creamy and flavorful dip.

And speaking of the creamy dips, theres one staple ingredient I like to have on hand so that I can make an endless amount of appetizer options: Shamrock Farms Sour Cream. From its smooth and creamy texture to the fact that its made with pure wholesome and nutritious milk , its the perfect choice for using in recipes like this fiesta corn dip.

As for this fiesta ranch dip, I love that this is a homemade chip dip that you can customize to your tastes.

It doesn’t get easier than this when creating a homemade dip and the best part is, it is healthy!! You get all the ranch dip flavor because of the seasoning but get protein and low fat thanks to the greek yogurt . I made this in less than 5 minutes and everyone loved it. They couldn’t believe this was a healthy version! Must try for your next gathering if you have ranch lovers coming by!

    Fiesta Ranch Cream Cheese Dip:

    Fiesta Ranch Dip

This one is really a true flavor explosion and I love that about it. Lots of flavors and textures going on here! It also only takes about 10 minutes to make, you can eat it right away, or chill until your ready to serve.

    • To make this dip, start with a brick of softened cream cheese, grab your hand mixer and mix the cream cheese together with the ranch seasoning, taco seasoning, salsa, sour cream, and garlic powder. If your cream cheese is soft enough, you can do this with a spatula, I prefer to use my hand mixer to make sure everything is really well combined.
    • Next, stir in your black beans, corn, cheese, and green onions using a spatula or a large spoon. Don’t use the mixer for this step or it will tear up your corn and beans.
    • Now, go ahead and chill or serve right away if desired. It does have the best flavor if chilled for about an hour first.
