For the first few days, make sure they are blended but after that you should be able to eat foods that arent blended as long as they are mushy and you chew them really well so they are puree by the time you swallow them.

The golden rule here is if you wouldnt feed it to a baby that is just starting to eat food, then you shouldnt be eating it!

Remember these key points:

  • Youll probably manage about ½ cup serves as meals. If you cant eat this much, especially to start with, dont worry. Definitely dont force yourself to finish it will make you feel uncomfortable.
  • Over the two weeks on purees gradually thicken the consistency of the puree rather than increasing the volume.

  • Anything that you cant squash with a fork especially white bread, rice, dry meats, raw fruit and raw vegies as they will get stuck

    Hi Tess. Its true the post bariatric puréed diet leaves much to be desired. Healing is top of mind and textures can cause significant issues. To create this recipe from scratch I would recommend boiling chicken thighs and finely shredding then mixing with a homemade tomato puree. Many patients would prefer not to go through the work for only a couple bites and the puree diet is quite temporary- usually two weeks.

    Preheat oven to 400. Lightly grease a large piece of foil with olive oil, place the salmon fillet on top. If you have more than one fillet lay them next to each other, not on top of each other.

    Drizzle filet with 1 tablespoon of olive oil and 1 tablespoon lemon juice. Sprinkle evenly with chopped garlic and basil, thyme, parsley, dill, salt, and pepper. Cut up a pat of butter and set randomly and spaced apart on the filet. Seal the salmon inside the foil and set it in an oven-proof casserole dish or baking sheet.

    How Many Calories Should I Eat After Gastric Sleeve

    One of the key questions to ask your surgeon or nutritionist during your initial consultation is: How many calories should I eat after gastric sleeve? In general, your daily calorie intake for the first two months should range from 300 to 600 calories, with an emphasis on liquids and soft foods. Thereafter, you can gradually increase your intake to 1,000 calories a day for the first year.

    Soften And Puree Meals
