How Do You Make Rice Not Sticky In The Instant Pot

If your instant pot rice is sticky, you did not let it cook long enough. Rice only needs 3 minutes to cook at high pressure, but if you quick pressure release, it does not give it enough time to absorb all the liquid. You will be left with somewhat moist and sticky rice. Rinsing your rice before cooking also helps it not be as sticky .

How To Make Cooker Pulao With Step

  • firstly, to prepare the masala paste, in a mixer jar take ½ cup mint, ½ cup coriander, 5 cloves garlic, 2 inch ginger, and 2 chilli.
  • also add ½ tsp cloves, 2 inch cinnamon, 4 pods cardamom, and ½ tsp pepper.
  • grind to smooth paste adding water as required. keep aside.
  • in a cooker, heat 2 tbsp ghee. add 2 bay leaf, and 1 tsp cumin and saute until the spices turn aromatic.
  • further, add 2 onion and saute slightly until the onion shrinks.
  • also add 1 carrot, 1 potato, 3 tbsp peas, 10 beans, ½ capsicum, and ½ tsp salt. saute for a minute.
  • add in the prepared masala paste and cook for 2 minutes.
  • pour in 3 cup water and get to a boil.
  • once the water comes to a boil, add 1½ cup basmati rice .
  • also, add 1 tsp salt and ½ lemon. mix well.
  • cover and pressure cook for 2 whistles or until the rice is cooked well.
  • now in a pan heat 2 tsp ghee. roast 8 cube paneer and 2 tbsp cashew.
  • roast until the cashew turns crunchy and paneer turns golden brown.
  • finally, add fried paneer and cashew over cooker pulao and mix gently.

    How Do You Use An Instant Pot

    Based on what youre cooking, add a cup or so of cooking liquid or of water to the pressure cooking pot. Lock the lid in place and make sure the valve is in the sealing/pressure cooking position. Select a pressure cooking button and let it cook! Use quick release or natural release once done, then enjoy!

    There is nothing more comforting than mashed potatoes, especially when you can easily whip them up in your instant pot. This recipe is simple, as it only calls for potatoes, broth, butter, salt, and parsley. All you need to do is add the broth and potatoes to the instant pot to cook until they are tender. Then you can whip everything up together until you have perfectly creamy mashed potatoes. Serve them up with a sprinkling of pepper or fresh chives as a garnish.

    How To Use An Instant Pot

  • Liquid Always have at least 1 cup of liquid in pressure cooker. Sometimes recipes will call for less if the ingredients contain a lot of water, like chicken, fruits, or vegetables.
  • Seal Lock lid in place by turning clockwise. Make sure the valve at top is in SEAL position. The valve will let off a little steam as the float lifts up and locks into place. This is normal and it will stop once the pressure cooker comes to full pressure.
  • Timing The recipe will include a cook time, which is the time to set for cooking under high pressure. It will not start counting down that time until it comes to pressure. This can take anywhere to 5-30 minutes, depending on how much liquid is inside.
  • Quick Release vs. Natural Release For QR, when the cooking time ends press or turn the button to release pressure immediately. For NR, after the cook time ends do not do anything and the unit gradually releases pressure as it sits.

    For all my slow cooker recipes I use the 8-Quart Instant Pot Ultra which is an amazing multi-cooker! The 8 quart is a bit larger than the standard models so I have extra room to meal prep and batch cook more meals for the week.

    The Ultra model also has some great extra settings like cake baking and yogurt making which are really neat. I love that everything can cook in one pot, which makes for way less dishes and hands-off cooking. The Instant Pot is hands-down my favorite kitchen appliance, and actually makes my life so much easier.
