How To Make A Crown Royal Caramel Apple Drink
Step 1: Rim your glass with a caramel and brown sugar mix. Youll need 2 saucers. In one saucer add caramel syrup. In the other saucer add brown sugar.
Dip the rim of your glass in the caramel sauce first. Then dip in the brown sugar to coat the caramel sauce.
Step 2: Add 1-2 teaspoons of caramel sauce to the bottom of the glass.
Tip: One teaspoon gives this drink a very light caramel flavor as the apple cider is the stronger taste. If you want more caramel flavor, go for 2 teaspoons! I used two.
Step 3: Pour 1.5 oz to 2 ounces of Crown Royal Apple whisky over the caramel syrup.
Depending on how strong you like your cocktails, personally 2 ounces of Crown Apple is perfect.
Step 4: Stir the caramel sauce and Crown Apple together until completely mixed. Make sure there are no caramel chunks before adding the remainder ingredients.
Step 5: Add 3 ounces of apple cider. Again, make sure all the caramel sauce is thoroughly mixed.
Tip: If your apple cider is chilled, the caramel sauce might clump up. In this case, simply stir the mix again until the caramel sauce is dissolved.
Step 6: Add ice to your cocktail glass and top with approximately 2 ounces of ginger ale and stir.
Step 7: If you enjoy a hint of cinnamon, add a cinnamon stick or a sprinkle of ground cinnamon for garnish.
Caramel Vodka Apple Cider Cocktail Ingredients
The last time I got together with some friends, I walked in with a gallon of apple cider. My friend then proceeded to say how she loved cider and caramel vodka. And of course, I just grinned at her.
And pulled out a bottle of caramel vodka.

What Goes Well With Toasted Caramel Whiskey
Toasted Caramel Whiskey has a strong flavor profile. This can make it a little trickier to find mixers and other alcohols to blend with it. The wrong flavors can quickly turn a drink into an unidentifiable beverage. Mixed drinks should have clear flavor profiles so the person consuming the drink can identify flavors. These are our favorite mixers for Black Velvet Toasted Caramel Whiskey.
How To Make A Caramel Apple Martini:
When it comes to cocktails, my rule of thumb is to keep things simple. Using only a few really good ingredients makes everything easy and allows the flavors to shine. Im showing you this recipe with two different rims.
One is caramel the other is cinnamon sugar. While both are delicious, I prefer the caramel.
Simple and so-o-o good!
This has quickly become one of my favorite new drinks. Its a little on the sweet side, so it would pair very nicely with a salty appetizer. It could even finish up a meal as a substitute for a sweet dessert.
You also could easily mix up a big batch of this and allow your guests to shake up a martini whenever theyre ready for another glass. I also like the fact that you could make this into a kid-friendly mocktail by just shaking up some apple cider and serving it in a rimmed glass. Great fun for the younger folks!
Now, go grab these ingredients and get shakin!
Are you as ready for the colors, scents, and flavors of fall as I am? What excites you most about the golden days of autumn?

Caramel Green Apple Cocktail
We have a wonderful town not too far from us that is known for its apples. We try and go every Fall season to go apple picking, drink cider, feast on apple pie, and of course, the kids ask to take home an incredible caramel apple.
To me, this cocktail is the marriage of the sweet deliciousness of caramel green apples and a hot toddy. This delicious cocktail is full of caramel apple flavors of fall.
Pretty Much The Perfect Fall Treat This Caramel Apple Cider Cocktail Is Sweet With Caramel And Apple Cider But With The Perfect Punch From Vodka
When the folks at Smirnoff inquired about my trying some of their flavored vodkas I admit I was a bit hesitant. I love using vodka in cocktails but most often Im the one that is infusing them with a flavor and Ive not had much interest in the gazillion vodka flavors I see proliferate liquor store shelves. Until I noticed their suggestion for this Caramel Apple Cider Cocktail.
I spied a Kissed Caramel Vodka in their offer and a recipe for a Kissed Caramel Apple-tini. Anything combining caramel and apple makes me go weak in the knees and so I thought I would give it a shot. Or two. Yes I renamed it. I dont do cute names people search for what they know, not a cute name they dont.
They indulged me and sent me both of their new flavors. My daughter and her friend Cindy were here the day the package arrived and they were absolutely giddy over both of them. If Im being honest, the Iced Cake flavor was so sweet it was not for me but those girls quickly poured a glass over rocks and, well, that bottle went home with my daughter Emily.
I just know when they see what Ive done with the Kissed Caramel that theyll find an excuse to come visit the old lady stat!
The caramel is on the rim its impossible to miss and drinking this cocktail is so very reminiscent of one of those fabulous Fall treats I used to make my girls.
I do dress up on the night of and hand out candy to the neighbor kidsmaybe this year Ill bide that time with a cocktail this would be PERFECT!

Here’s What You’ll Need
- Caramel vodka there are many options to choose from. I used Van Gogh Dutch Caramel Vodka, but Smirnoff, Effen and Stoli all make a salted version.
- Vodka you have a couple of options here. I use plain vodka to cut the sweetness of the caramel vodka and so you just get a hint of caramel in the vodka cocktail. But if you want to experiment, you can try vanilla, whipped cream or cinnamon vodka or just leave it out.
- Fresh apple cider it’s the time of year that apples are in season, so look for fresh-pressed cider from your local farmers’ market. If you’re lucky enough to live near an apple farm, you might find different varieties of apple cider.
- Apple a small red apple will make the best apple slices for garnish. Brush them with lemon juice to keep them from browning if your not using them right away.
- Salted caramel sauce adds caramel flavor accented by a touch of salt. You have a few different options here. I use a salted caramel topping ice cream topping, but you can use any sauce or syrup to rim your glass. If it’s not already salted, add a pinch of fine sea salt to the sugar and spice mix.
- Sugar and apple pie spice this is as simple as a spoonful of sugar and sprinkle of apple pie spice mixed together on a plate. You can also use pumpkin spice or plain cinnamon sugar.

â½ Caramel Vodka: If you want to make lots of fall cocktails this year, I recommend keeping regular caramel vodka in your cabinet. That caramel flavor is so tasty especially when paired with sour apple schnapps. Since so much of this cocktail’s taste comes from the caramel vodka, it is key ingredient and cannot be switches out with regular vodka.
The best caramel vodkas include Smirnoff Kissed Caramel Vodka and Veil Caramel Vodka. Pinnacle Salted Caramel Vodka would also be good for a touch of salt.
â½ Sour Apple Schnapps: The first time I tried sour apple schnapps, I was obsessed. It is sour and sweet just like green apple candy.
I like Mr Stacks Sour Apple Schnapps and DeKuyper Sour Apple Pucker Liqueur.
â½ Apple Juice: A bit of apple juice added to this cocktail will bring in some sweetness which balances out the sourness and adds in more apple flavor.
â½ Lemon Juice: A bit of lemon juice will make this cocktail perfect. Lemon, apple, and caramel is a wonderful combination and the perfect mixture. Freshly squeezed lemon juice will get you the best tasting cocktail.
â½ Fresh Green Apple: A slice of a Granny Smith apple on the glass will taste great with the cocktail and look pretty too! You could also garnish with a caramel candy, if desired.

What Kind Of Wine To Use In Caramel Apple Sangria
Generally speaking, as a good rule of thumb, you dont need to get carried away with a fancy wine when making sangria. A dry riesling or a crisp pinot grigio or sauvignon blanc is perfect here paired with the apple cider.
Add the sweetness of the caramel and this tastes every bit as delicious as a classic caramel apple only sipped out of a glass. At the same time, its still tart enough to be surprisingly more sophisticated than youd guess.
Um, not that you need to be feeling all sophisticated on my account, trust me.

What If I Dont Have A Shaker
If you dont have a shaker, thats ok. You can actually use any cup that is spill-proof and has a lid. The point of the shaker is so that while you are shaking you arent spilling your drink everywhere. In fact, you could even double up your ingredients and put them in a jug to make enough for guests.
The bottom line is, as long as it has a lid and you can shake it without spilling you are fine.

This caramel apple cocktail recipe is easy to make with only three ingredients!
Its Chelsey from Budget Girl again! If you follow my blog, you know Ive been getting ready for fall this month.
When we were in college, we were huge nerds. We didnt go to parties and we took as many morning classes as we could, so we could get it out of the way and spend the rest of the day playing video games. Huge nerds.
That said, we did enjoy a few drinks from time to time while we played cardsoccasionally while writing papers . My favorite, for a long time, was Dekueypers Green Apple Pucker.
While looking for the ingredients for my triple watermelon martinis recipe, I came across the green apple pucker and knew it would make a perfect post.
One thing I discovered was that you could mix butterscotch schnapps with the green apple pucker and it would taste like a caramel apple. It does! But I wanted to do that in a cocktail, not just a shot. That problem was solved with apple cider .
What Vodka Should I Use
Because you are using the vodka in a mixed drink, you do not need to get top of the shelf vodka. I typically go with Smirnoff just because thats the brand everyone uses when they drink vodka. However, vodka has lots of different flavors so you could experiment with the vodka flavor if you like. Here are some vodka options you could try:
- For sweet and sour taste, you could try the Smirnoff Sour Apple Vodka.
- If you want more of a caramel taste, you could go with Smirnoff Vodka Kissed Caramel.
- Finally, you could add a little more vanilla flavor with Smirnoff Vodka Vanilla.
