Every month for Secret Recipe Club, my mouth is watering as I look through all of my assigned blogs delicious recipes. This special holiday was absolutely no different and may have been more so.
First, her blog was overloaded with so many amazing recipes, but since this is a holiday reveal, I definitely wanted a treat.
We chose Crock Pot Pumpkin Spiced Latte. We absolutely love making coffee drinks at home and this one couldnt be more seasonal and delicious. I was both surprised and delighted by how much we loved this, including the teens.
It has become a favorite over the years. Plus, it smelled delicious for hours, it tasted great and weve made it several times at my teens request to have more! The perfect fall drink as far as Im concerned and it can be enjoyed anytime of day.
Theres nothing like a warm beverage on a chilly day. I love making up a batch, pouring myself a piping hot mug, grabbing a good book or turning on Netflix and cuddling under a blanket for hours.
Doesnt that sound like heaven right about now? Well, so is this drink!
Can I Make This In A High Speed Blender Instead
What I did this morning was to blend it all together before I added it to my 2- quart slow cooker. Then I got to thinking, if you have a high speed blender you could just keep blending until it gets hot. Just some pumpkin-spice for thought!
If you decide to use a high speed blender you could just add 1/4 cup pecans or cashews plus 2 cups water. Blend and youve made homemade nut milk for your Not Slow Cooker Maple Pumpkin Spice Latte.

What Do I Do With Leftovers
Have more than a few drops left over?
You can refrigerate the leftovers and reheat an individual mug as need be throughout the week, as long as your dairy milk stays fresh.
You can also stir some into hot chocolate, swap it for the coffee to make a fall-inspired Tiramisu, or add swap it for the milk in instant vanilla pudding mix for an edible Pumpkin Spice Latte treat.

Why This Recipe Works
These slow cooker pumpkin spice lattes would be fun for after trick-or-treating or for a fall brunch. This is even great on those snowy days when the kids are playing. Make them hot chocolate and make yourself a treat too. Note- I dont like my coffee overly sweet, so add the sugar to your taste.
I start with freshly brewed coffee because I know most of us dont have an espresso machine. I stir in half and half, canned pumpkin, spices, vanilla extract, and sugar. And top with whipped cream.

How Do I Make Slow Cooker Maple Pumpkin Spice Latte
There are a few ways to make a Maple Pumpkin Spice Latte and one is to add the pumpkin spices, coffee, and nondairy milk to your slow cooker.
Be warned that it gets a little chunky in the slow cooker so you can either strain it before serving or give it a careful whirl in your blender. Either way will elevate your pumpkin spice latte to coffeehouse level.

A Pumpkin Spice Latte Recipe With Real Pumpkin
Ive fine-tuned this easy pumpkin spice latte recipe over the years and now I cant drink anything else! Its easy to make just for yourself or for a crowd with just a blender and a stove top .
This pumpkin spice latte tastes very similar to the coffeeshop versions without the artificial colors, flavors, and sweeteners. Oh, and it actually contains pumpkin because its not a REAL pumpkin spice latte without it!
To make it dairy free, sub coconut, almond, or macadamia milk. These are easy to find in the store, but cheaper made at home.
A dollop of whipped heavy cream or coconut cream finishes off this recipe and makes it extra decadent. Try a whipped cream dispenser for homemade whipped cream on demand.
If youre on a therapeutic diet or want to avoid any sugar at all, feel free to omit it. In fact I use these pumpkin spice stevia drops and dont miss the sugar one bit!

Crockpot Pumpkin Spice Lattes Recipe
The big difference between my Crockpot PSL recipe and many other PSLs out there is that mine is made with real pumpkin.
Im sure there are pumpkin syrups or pumpkin flavour extracts out there that taste like real pumpkin, but I always think: why not add the real thing?!
Personally, I think the pumpkin contributes to the creamy texture of this homemade pumpkin spice latte, and gives it that authentic depth of flavour.
I also use espresso powder to make the lattes, rather than regular brewed coffee, but you can go with your personal preference on that one. Just substitute brewed coffee cup for cup for the boiling water.
Making crockpot lattes is great for entertaining, especially if you plan on doing something outdoors and then want something warm to come inside to. You can throw all of the ingredients in your crockpot, set it to low, and itll be ready for you once youre ready to serve.

How To Make Spiked Pumpkin Cider
To make a spiked pumpkin spice cider, you simply add your choice of alcohol after you cook the recipe in the slow cooker or on the stove.
I recommend adding about 1 cup of alcohol to this pumpkin cider recipe. You can add less if you want to. You can also make the pumpkin cider non alcoholic and add 1/2 to 1 ounce per cup.
Try using one of the following for spiked pumpkin apple cider:

Looking for holiday gifts for the foodie in your life?
- 4 cups espresso or very strong coffee
- 1/2 gallon milk–1% or 2%
- 3/4 cup canned pumpkin
- 3/4 cup maple syrup
- 2 tablespoons vanilla
- 1 tablespoon + 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
I always hear a lot of buzz out there when Pumpkin Spice Lattes make their first appearance at Starbucks. It means that Fall has finally arrived. It means that many of us can, at last, enjoy our favorite espresso drink again.
Trouble is, they are pretty pricey and high in calories. There’s a solution to that: make your own. I decided to figure out a slow cooker latte recipe so I could make a big batch for a brunch party. The slow cooker keeps them warm throughout and makes them a self serve beverage that way I don’t have to stand next to my espresso machine making individual lattes throughout the party.
I combined two of my favorite Starbucks latte flavors: maple and pumpkin spice. The result is easy, crowd pleasing Maple Pumpkin Spice Lattes that can be ladled into mugs one right after the other.
After some playing around with the ingredients, I finally settled on this version. I may have consumed a little more caffeine than usual in the tasting process, so maybe I’ll have enough of a buzz to avoid dozing off on the couch tonight. Okay. Not likely. I’m a couch dozer. Can’t help it.
This recipe is healthified and has half the calories!

How To Make Pumpkin Cider
Pumpkin spice or apple cider?
Now you don’t have to choose. You can use both pumpkin and apple in this pumpkin spice cider. Pumpkin apple cider is like apple cider, but it kicks it up a notch with extra spices and pumpkin puree.
I like to make the best pumpkin cider in a slow cooker. However, you can also make it on the stove.
The stove top version is much quicker, but I think making a pumpkin cider recipe in a slow cooker gives the fall drink a more complex flavor.
