Create a delicious BBQ London Broil in the slow cooker for a simple and tasty meal.
I managed to get a good deal on a London Broil , but didn’t want to go with my usual method of cooking it which is to marinade then cook on grill/broil until medium rare in the middle.
This time I decided to cook it low and slow in the slow cooker with Gid and Clark’s Righteous Rib Rub.
UPDATE: One commentor below mentions that 6 hours was too long in her 4 quart slow cooker and the meat was ruined. Slow cooker cooking time can vary greatly based on numerous variables such as size of the cooker and the weight and thickness of the meat. I highly recommend a slow cooker with a temperature probe for cooking roasts and whole chickens.

Fried London broil steaks with vegetables, dry white wine, and spices. Very tasty!
Makes 4 servings
Ingredients: 2 tablespoons vegetable oil, 4 London broil steaks, 1 tablespoon unsalted butter, 1 yellow onion, peeled and finely chopped, 2 garlic cloves, peeled, smashed and chopped, 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley, 1/2 cup dry white wine, 28 oz can tomatoes, drained and chopped, 1/2 teaspoon chopped fresh oregano, 1/4 teaspoon grated ginger, salt and freshly ground black pepper, few crushed chilies
Instructions: Preheat the oven to 150º F . Heat vegetable oil in large frying pan over medium-high heat. When hot, reduce heat to medium, add steaks and cook for 8-10 minutes. Turn meat 3-4 times during cooking and once seared, season well.
Remove seared steaks from the heat and transfer to an ovenproof platter. Keep hot in preheated oven.
In another frying pan, heat butter over medium-high heat. When hot, reduce heat to medium, add chopped onion, garlic, and parsley. Mix well and cook, stirring for 3 minutes. Increase heat to medium-high, pour in dry white wine and cook for furhter3-4 minutes or until most of the wine evaporates.

- Mix London broil marinade. Add olive oil, coconut aminos, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, garlic, salt, black pepper, oregano, and thyme to large zip lock bag and mix together.
- Add flank steak to the zip lock bag and squeeze out excess air. Gently massage the marinade into the steak. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours, but no more than 12 hours.
