How To Make This Homemade Ranch Dip
To make this Homemade Ranch Dip, you will need:
- ¾ cup mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons homemade ranch seasoning
- 1-2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
- ¼ teaspoon fine sea salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- Couple dashes of hot sauce
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh chives
Could you get a totally fine dip with just the mayo, sour cream, and ranch seasoning? Yep.
Will it be way better with the extra squeeze of lemon juice? Totally will. So dont skip it if you have a lemon on hand!
The hot sauce and fresh chives are totally optional, but highly recommended. They just add a little extra depth to the dip.
To make this dip, just mix together all of the ingredients. Cover and refrigerate the dip for 2-3 hours and then dig in!
Its so easy and I promise this ranch dip is WAY better than anything you can buy in a tub at the store!
How To Store Ranch Dip With Bacon & Cheddar
Ranch dip will keep fresh in the fridge for up to 3 days. However, bear in mind that the bacon bits will start to soften over time.
Of course, its so simple you dont really need to make this ahead.

What Is Ranch Dip Made Of
Before we went dairy free, I used to make ranch dip on the regular. I used a mix of cream cheese and sour cream, but when I was ready to revamp my recipe, I knew vegan cream cheese wouldnt cut it.
Its a touch sweeter than its dairy counterpart, but also because it tends to harden more when its in the fridge thanks to the coconut milk.
Instead, I went with vegan mayonnaise. I used vegan mayo because thats what I had on hand, but you can easily use regular mayonnaise and it will work perfectly for this vegetable dip recipe.
