How To Make Homemade Pasta
Making pasta by hand, you use a rolling pin to mimic the action of a pasta maker: roll out a small piece of dough until its paper thin. Then, use a knife to cut it into individual noodles.
It takes a little more muscle and patience, but you can absolutely get the pasta as thin as you would using a machine.

Let It Sit Before Serving
Unless youre eating your homemade ice cream immediately, youll be storing it in the freezer. Commercial ice cream coming straight from the freezer is mostly soft and scoops easily. Homemade ice cream though, will be rock hard as it doesnt have the stabilisers or additives to keep it soft. Dont compare your ice cream to shop-bought varieties.
Instead, think ahead and take the ice cream from the freezer around 10-15 minutes before you want to eat it. Leave it on the kitchen worktop and it will be perfect. Also, when packing your ice cream into tubs for the freezer, less is better. Too deep makes it hard to soften for serving at best only fill the tub half way.

How To Make Pasta In A Food Processor:
This is my preferred way to make homemade pasta because its the quickest and easiest! Simply add all four ingredients to the bowl of a food processor . Pulse for about 10 seconds, or until the mixture reaches a crumbly texture . Remove the dough and pat it into a ball with your hands and place it on a lightly-floured cutting board. Knead the dough for 1-2 minutes until it is smooth and elastic. Form the dough into a ball with your hands, wrap tightly in plastic wrap and let the dough rest at room temperature for 30 minutes. Use immediately or refrigerate for up to 1 day.

Best Way To Make Baby Food
Ive found that the easiest and most approachable way to make baby food is to simply use a blender. With fresh ingredients and a little water, breastmilk, or formula to thin it as needed, you can easily make your baby meals without investing in equipment you may not use very long.
TIP: Youll want to start with at least 1 cup of any base ingredient to ensure that theres enough in the blender to fully blend up.
Tips For Making Homemade Pasa
- If the eggs break through your flour while mixing, dont panic. Simply push some additional flour up against the break-through with your hand, and continue mixing. A bench scraper is also really useful here because it allows you to scoop up a lot of mess quickly. If you have one, keep it handy.
- Its important to rest the dough before rolling it out: This gives the gluten in the dough a chance to relax, which makes it easier to roll out. It makes a big difference when rolling out pasta by hand, verses using a machine.
- If your pasta is sticky at any point, add more flour, a teaspoon at a time. When you roll it out, make sure you dust your countertop with flour at regular intervals. Its also important to thoroughly dust the rolled-out pasta with flour before folding or rolling dough to cut into your desired shape.
- If the dough starts to snap back as you roll it out: Pause and let it rest for 5 to 10 minutes . Then, try rolling it again.
- Cooking frozen noodles: Use frozen noodles straight from the freezer without thawing. Dont leave them to thaw on the counter while you are preparing the rest of your meal. Sometimes, condensation or ice crystals form inside the bag. That will dampen your noodles and cause them to stick together as they thaw.

How To Make Pasta In A Stand Mixer:
Also a super-simple method . Just combine all of your ingredients in the bowl of a stand mixer. Then using the dough hook, mix and knead the dough for 8-10 minutes on low speed until it is smooth and elastic. Form the dough into a ball with your hands, wrap tightly in plastic wrap and let the dough rest at room temperature for 30 minutes. Use immediately or refrigerate for up to 1 day.
