Currently, Outer Aisle sells two different kinds of pizza crusts: Italian and Jalapeno. I opted to make this pie with the Italian. I will be back with a Mexican-style pizza recipe using the jalapeno!

This pizza is super easy to make and its sauceless so if you dont like tomatoes, this ones for you! However, if you dont like broccoli youre out of luck.

Low Carb Thanksgiving Sandwich

I have been really into Outer Aisle products recently, and with Thanksgiving coming up, I knew I wanted to use them to come up with a Thanksgiving recipe that anyone would enjoy, even if you arent low carb!

Outer Aisle sells cauliflower flatbreads for the low carb folks out there, and I wasnt sure how I would feel about them at first. Being a total pizza snob , I knew I wouldnt be able to substitute these for pizza crust and be satisfied. That being said, the crusts & sandwich thins are absolutely delicious and incredibly versatile!

Turns out that these crusts make an AWESOME low carb stuffing- on par with any bread stuffing Ive had!

Follow the recipe to make a large batch of stuffing and use it to complete your Thanksgiving sandwich, or just use the stuffing as-is as a side dish this Thanksgiving .

For the cauliflower thins’ first toast, bake for 7 minutes per side. Baking the assembled pizza will take an additional 10-12 minutes in a standard oven.Ingredients :

  • One Outer Aisle Pizza Crust
  • 1 TBS fat free Ranch dressing
  • 1.75 ounces cooked chicken breast, chopped
  • 1 slice cooked turkey bacon, cut into small pieces
  • 1/3 cup total shredded lowfat mozzarella and cheddar cheeses
  • 1/3 cup chopped roasted red pepper
  • 1/8 cup thinly sliced scallion
  • .75 ounce diced avocado
  • Drizzle: 1 TBS yogurt-based Ranch + 1/2 tsp. chipotle spice blend

The answer depends on what you define as “healthy,” explains Jessica Ball, M.S., RD, EatingWell’s associate nutrition digital editor.

“Cauliflower Thins are made with fresh cauliflower as the first ingredient, so they might help you boost your vegetable intake if that’s your goal. They’re also slightly higher in protein from ingredients like eggs and Parmesan, which might help you feel more full,” Ball says. “That said, traditional flour-based buns can be part of a healthy diet and include many nutrients as well, especially if you choose whole wheat.”

These cauliflower thins could be a good option for someone who has an intolerance or allergy to gluten, or for someone aiming to eat a more low-carb diet, Ball says. The replacements for the flour , however, mean these are not suitable for a vegan diet. And at $4.99 for the equivalent of two hamburger buns, they’re not cheap.

“As a person who is on a budget and doesn’t avoid gluten, I don’t think I would ever buy these. They use several whole-food ingredients and could help you increase your vegetable and protein intake, but it seems unlikely that they would taste similar to a traditional hamburger bun. Personally, I would prefer to choose a whole-grain bun and enjoy my cauliflower as a delicious side instead of as a replacement for a bun,” Ball says. But if you enjoy the flavor, have a flexible grocery budget and are seeking an easy way to eat more veggies, go for it.

Ingredients In Cauliflower Sandwich Thins

With four ingredients and 1 net carb a piece, cauliflower sandwich thins look promising. Since this bread alternative cuts out gluten, grains, and preservatives, you can stick to your macros and avoid the carb crash that comes with conventional bread.

You should approach packaged keto-friendly foods with caution, though, since ingredient quality can vary. These sandwich thins are no exception. For starters, the recipe in the prepackaged version includes parmesanan ingredient that can still trigger allergies and inflammation. Despite the low carbs, cheese still contains oxidized fats and lactose that can make you feel foggy and fatigued.

In addition to cheese, OG cauliflower sandwich thins also contain nutritional yeast. While it adds a savory, cheesy flavor to recipes, it isnt doing you any favors from a nutritional standpointand may even alter your gut biome. Outer Aisle Gourmet Cauliflower Sandwich Thins  The Cooking life ...
  • A pinch of salt and pepper
  • Sprinkle of Poultry seasoning
  • Preheat oven to 350º Fahrenheit.
  • Place 3/4 stick of butter in a large frying pan and melt.
  • Add celery, carrots, onion, salt, and pepper and cook on high heat until tender.
  • Using your choice ofOuter Aisle Sandwich Thins, pull pieces apart and place in a bowl.
  • Heat up another frying pan & lightly grease with butter. Add entire bowl of chopped veggies and stir occasionally untilgolden brown.
  • Chop up a handful of fresh parsley. Add the bowl of Outer Aisle to the pan of veggies along with the parsley, mixing all of the ingredients together for about 4 minutes.
  • Place everything into a casserole dish. Drizzle chicken broth on top and place in oven for about 20 minutes or until top is golden brown.

How Does Out Aisle Pizza Crust Taste

Like heaven. Its important to follow the cooking instructions because I have a feeling if you cook it on a baking sheet, it could get mushy. I baked mine on a pizza stone and it turned out pretty crispy on the outside. It was a little soft toward the middle of the crust, but I blame my janky pizza stone

You can definitely tell the crust is flourless lets be honest I know when Im eating real pizza dough or an alternative crust. But it was seasoned lightly and tasted fresh. I definitely felt zero guilt after demolishing the entire thing.

Cauli Mini Tortillas Sandwich Thins

Ive purchased pre-made sandwich thins by Outer Aisle Gourmet that has 3 ingredients cauliflower, eggs, and parmesan cheese. This is a version of their sandwich thins that is pretty close to their product.

Start with steaming the cauli rice. After cooked, let it cool and squeeze out the water using some kind of cloth.

Place in a bowl and add the rest of the ingredients eggs, coconut flour, parmesan cheese, garlic powder and herb seasonings.

Divide into 6 portions on parchment paper lined sheet pan, and flatten into small tortilla rounds .

Bake in preheated oven at 375 for 10 minutes. Then flip and bake another 5-7 minutes. Let them cool and place in a skillet to brown each side of the tortilla .

Store in fridge, or eat right away!
