Iced Coffee: The Perfect Drink For Any Time Of Day

How to Make Starbuck’s Iced Vanilla Chai Latte w/ PUMPKIN CREAM!

A delicious iced coffee is created by combining instant coffee with cold milk, which is easily consumed at any time of day. To make an iced coffee that is both delicious and convenient, simply brew a pot of coffee and pour it over ice. You can also add milk, sugar, or other flavorings to your iced coffee to make it taste different to you.

Vanilla Chai Tea Latte

A regular chai tea latte, hot or iced, is a combination of chai concentrate and milk.

One customer-favorite drink modification is to order a vanilla chai latte. Your barista creates this latte by incorporating a few pumps of regular vanilla syrup or sugar-free vanilla syrup.

Other simple syrups like cinnamon dolce or gingerbread are equally delicious in a chai latte.

Just keep in mind, additional syrup increases the chai lattes overall sweetness.

How To Make Iced Pumpkin Spice Latte

The perfect latte starts with a shot of espresso. The best method is with an espresso machine. If you dont have one, check out our favorite brands here.

It doesnt really work to use brewed coffee, because its not strong enough for this drink. But if you have no other options, you can brew a really strong cup of coffee to replace the espresso.

The espresso doesnt have to be cold when you pour it over the ice, but it will melt the ice and the latte can become watery. For this reason, I prefer to cool the espresso before using it.

While the espresso is chilling, mix up the pumpkin spice milk. You can do this by combining the milk, pumpkin puree, sugar , vanilla extract, and pumpkin pie spice in a blender and mixing until smooth.

Fill a tall glass with ice , pour the espresso into the glass. Then top it up with the milk mixture.

If you want to make this a decadent treat, you can top the drink with whipped cream and a sprinkle of pumpkin pie spice, like Starbucks does. I usually skip that step, because the whip cream isnt necessary to me, but its up to you!

How To Make A Healthier Latte

Check out this Iced Pumpkin Spice Chai Latte from Starbucks:

One of the reasons your favorite drinks arent really good for you is that they are very high in sugar. If you want to make it a bit healthier, you can cut the sugar content.

Or, you can experiment with sweeteners like stevia to see how you like the taste. Why not try half and half to start and go from there.

You can also choose to use dairy-free milk like almond milk or even soy milk to cut the fat content. My daughter is gluten intolerant and frequently uses almond milk in her recipes.

Make sure that when you add the pumpkin, you choose puree and not pie filling. You can either use fresh puree or canned whichever is easiest for you.

Tools / equipment needed for this recipe

I find that using a blender is the easiest way to make this recipe smooth. But, if you dont have one, you can use a whisk to mix the ingredients by hand.

Do I Have To Use Cornstarch

Nope! But you need some kind of starch.

For paleo, you need to use arrowroot starch/powder or tapioca starch/flour. In some recipes, like my Paleo Air Fryer Cookies, tapioca and arrowroot arent at all interchangeable. You actually need both for the recipe to work.

In some recipes like my Vegan Custard that call for cornstarch, you can do a direct sub with arrowroot. But you need about 33% more if using tapioca starch.

So it always varies depending on the exact recipe. For this pumpkin chai latte, it doesnt matter. 1/2 teaspoon of cornstarch, arrowroot starch/powder or tapioca starch/flour will do. Ive tried them all and dont notice a difference!

How To Make A Pumpkin Chai Latte

I experimented a lot with this recipe to find the perfect balance of chai and pumpkin.

The first time I made it, I couldnt taste the pumpkin at all. The chai and all the spices overpowered it.

It was a SUPER flavorful drink though.

For a delicious drink that perfectly balances the flavors of fall, simply mix chai concentrate, pumpkin sauce, and the milk of your choice together in a mug or a glass.

For an iced chai latte, you can add ice cubes. All the ingredients are stored in the fridge, so the drink is cold enough for me without ice.

For a warm latte, heat the combined ingredients in a small saucepan on the stove or in a microwave-safe mug in the microwave. Or however you usually warm milk.

It is okay to make this pumpkin chai tea latte the night before and store it in the fridge. Just remember to mix it again before the first sip.

If you make this drink ahead of time and want to drink it iced, please add the ice cubes right before consuming.

If you store the drink in the fridge with the ice already added, the ice cubes will melt and water down the latte. Thats not fun or cozy.

How Do I Make A Starbucks Pumpkin Chai

Favorite FALL Drink!!! (Iced Pumpkin Spice Latte) ***NEW & Easy Recipe***

This recipe is inspired by the Starbucks pumpkin chai latte, but its way more flavorful, and creamier. You get all the flavor and creaminess without having it overly sweet.

Starbucks pumpkin chai uses flavored syrup to sweeten and flavor the drink. Starbucks doesnt even use real pumpkin. Using real pumpkin in chai naturally gives it a velvety texture and body.

For a thick foamy topping like the Starbucks drink has, you can froth a bit of milk after making the chai latte and spoon the foam on top. Frothing the chai tea latte itself gives you a thinner layer of foam on top .

Pair this pumpkin spice chai latte with pumpkin filled donuts or red velvet stuffed muffins to give all the coffee shop vibes.

The pumps of Pumpkin spice sauce coincide with the size of your drink. If, for instance, you order a tall Pumpkin Spice Chai Tea Latte, it will come with three pumps of this sauce, while a grande comes with 4 pumps of pumpkin spice sauce.

Do I Have To Use Cashew Milk

I would recommend it. The flavor is better and weirdly enough, the pumpkin and chai flavor was much stronger when using cashew milk than when using dairy milk.

And this drink definitely tastes better with cashew milk than almond milk. But Im kind of biased as I always prefer cashew milk.

You can use any other plant-based milk youd like, but know that it might not be as tasty as if you had used cashew milk.

  • In a blender, combine the water, real pumpkin puree, cornstarch, and the milk.
  • Blend, according to your blender’s manufacturer’s instructions, until the mixture is smooth and well incorporated.
  • Transfer the blended pumpkin mixture to a small saucepan over medium heat.
  • Slowly bring to a simmer, whisking frequently so that the mixture doesn’t stick to the bottom of the pan. Simmer for 1 – 2 minutes, or until the mixture has slightly thickened and is nice and creamy.
  • Set two mugs on the counter. Place one tea bag in each mug. Divide the pumpkin milk mixture between 2 mugs, pouring it over the tea bags and allow the tea to steep for 5 minutes.
  • After the tea has steeped, discard the tea bags. Swirl 2 1/2 tablespoons of International Delight Pumpkin Pie Spice Creamer into each mug.
  • Taste, and sweeten with maple syrup or agave if desired.
  • Serve, taking care to allow the liquid to cool to an appropriate drinking temperature so as not to burn the mouth.

    Pumpkin Oatmilk Chai Tea Latte

This Starbucks chai latte drink, has two customizations.

First the milk is swapped out for oatmilk. To me, the oat flavor and chai combination are reminiscent of an oatmeal cookie.

Secondly, pumpkin spice sauce is combined with the chai tea.

Make note, however, this is not a dairy-free drink since the pumpkin sauce contains milk.

    Starbucks Vanilla Chai Tea Latte

The BEST Healthy Pumpkin Spice Chai Latte

Starbucks already does a blonde vanilla latte that combines its standard latte with vanilla syrup. It may come as no surprise that this flavor combo also works really well with chai tea in place of coffee.

Chai tea concentrate already contains vanilla extract, sugar, and honey so when you add extra sweetener in the form of vanilla syrup you may find the drink overwhelmingly sweet. If youre watching those calories then you can always opt for sugar-free vanilla syrup instead.

If vanilla isnt your cup of tea then you can always try with a different flavored syrup such as cinnamon dolce to sweeten your latte.

    Making These Pumpkin Chai Lattes

The other day, I teased this pumpkin spice chai latte recipe with an post. It had rained all night and we woke up to a significantly cooler morning. The heater was kicked on, it was drizzling all day, and the kids had to wear pants and sweaters to school that morning.

It was our first really cool fall day, but because we live in Colorado well be vacillating between this odd combo of summer, fall, and winter weather for at least another month. Oh Colorado, even with your beautiful gold and red fall leaves you can never make up your mind about what season it is.

I actually kind of like it. Because if youre sick of the heat, it is likely a cool day or two will come through. And if youre sick of the coldwell, just then the sun and a warm burst will decide to come out.
