Ingredients: Water, pinto beans, chili powder , cracker meal , soybean oil , and clove oil .

In small sauce pan, mix brown sugar, mustard, vinegar and ketchup. Bring mixture to boil. In small skillet over medium heat, brown bacon and drain fat. Add onion and cook until brown. Set aside. In baking dish, combine beans, bacon and onion. Pour boiled mixture on top of beans and gently stir ingredients together.

Add the beans, broth, and bacon to the pot, and then set on high pressure for 1 hour. After the beans have cooked, allow the Instant Pot to naturally release for 15 minutes, and then quick release. Drain off excess water, reserving a ½ cup. Use an immersion blender or potato masher to mash about half the beans.

This past weekend we also lit our first fire in our new home. While the fire was busy crackling away to keep our home warm I was in the kitchen preparing a big pot of Southern Chili with Beans. Texans typically dont add beans to their chili but this one does. Our preferred choice is Bushs Chili beans for this recipe. They provide great flavor as theyre slow simmered to bring out the bold chili notes youd expect.

The kids thoroughly enjoyed this recipe and even begged to take some to school. Next time, I will be doubling the recipe to make sure there is enough to hold us over a few days.

Yes! Chili is one of my favorite Instant pot recipes to make because it is both hearty and low carb. I used Angus ground beef in mine because my husband prefers his chili with beef. But, you can always make yours with ground turkey if you prefer.

Try Instant Pot chicken chili by adding leftover cooked chicken a few minutes before its done. Or, try making it without meat and just add another can of beans.

Preheat oven to 325 degrees F. Open and drain extra liquid from cans of beans. Combine beans, ketchup, brown sugar, mustard and cinnamon in a casserole. Drop bacon pieces on top of bean mixture. Bake 45 minutes covered. Remove cover.

We started by browning the meat. My meat had a lot of grease, so I made sure to drain my grease and then rinse it, because I prefer a less greasy chili.

Next, I began adding my ingredients. I started with Bushs Chili beans, then added onions, tomato sauce, diced tomatoes and spices.

I let it cook for 4 hours on high and had a delicious chili ready for me!
