Should You Eat Complex Carbs For Diabetes
Have you ever heard the term âsmart carbsâ? If you have, odds are it was referring to complex carbohydrates. These are also sometimes referred to as âgood carbsâ, though I really donât like that phrase. These types of carbohydrates are simply more complex and take longer for the body to break down. This means they are less likely to cause spikes in blood sugar levels after you eat them. While being low in carbs, many of the recipes below also contain complex carbohydrates.

What Can You Stuff Chicken Breast With
As I mentioned earlier, I created this stuffing based on what I had leftover in my fridge from a big salad Id made. I love the flavor combination and definitely recommend you try it!
However, if any of these ingredients arent quite your taste, you are welcome to swap them out. I know a few readers have substituted the artichoke hearts with asparagus and had great results! Spinach is another popular filling ingredient.
Feel free to experiment, there are lots of tasty combinations when it comes to the stuffing for your chicken breast.

What To Serve With This Dish
This classic Italian dish is very flavorful. Thats why I like to serve it with easy, simple sides that will complement the main course.
One of my favorite options is whole wheat orzo. Its great for soaking up any of the leftover sauce!
Steamed broccoli or green beans are also quick and easy sides that will taste extra delicious in the rich tomato-based sauce.
How To Butterfly Chicken Breasts
Place a chicken breast on a cutting board and using a very sharp knife cut through the chicken breast horizontally about 3/4 of the way though. Fold open the top half of the chicken so that it opens like a butterfly.
Each side of the chicken breast should be equally thin so it cooks evenly. This is an excellent method to stuff chicken with any of your favorite fillings.

Garlic Brown Sugar Chicken
posted by Chungah on November 29, 2014 255 Comments The best and easiestchicken ever, baked to crisp-tender perfection along with the most amazingsweet garlic sauce! So Ive been on a major chicken-thigh-kick lately. Its weird because I never even thought I liked chicken thighs until I used it in this slow cooker honey sesame chicken . From there, I was hooked. But then I used bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs for the very first time in this pan roasted lemon chicken and I was in heaven. From the honey mustard chicken to the chicken and mushroom skillet , Im just loving the whole sear-first-then-roast method since it makes the most crisp-tender chicken thighs ever. Its unbelievably juicy and yet you still have that amazing crust on top too. And this sweet brown sugar, garlicky crust is to die for. I seriously wanted to guzzle it down. Or triple the sauce so I can serve it over everything and anything. Im actually bummed that I didnt because there was absolutely no sauce leftover here. I licked the plate clean and a single drop wasnt left at all!Continue reading > >

A consistent low carb diet for diabetes isnât necessary. It can certainly be done, but if thatâs not a route you want to take, you definitely donât have to. There are times when you may need to rely on a low carb recipe or option but it doesnât mean you have to do that all of the time.
