Jamie and Christopher have lived in their Santa Monica home for more than 20 years, according to Celebrity Net Worth. In 2016, they bought a home next to theirs for $2.2 million, the website says, likely with plans to expand their house onto the property.
And back in 2002,Architectural Digest described the couple’s LA house as airy and light, BTW. The article didn’t list a price, but it did say that designer Jan McFarland Cox helped restore the house.
Pumpkin For Breakfast Dinner And Dessert
Instead of carving a pumpkin, Martha Rose Shulman decided to cook it up. The result is a week-long pumpkin feast, with recipes for every time of day.
I never got around to carving a jack-o-lantern for Halloween. I bought the pumpkin, yes, but then decided to save it for cooking. The day after Halloween, I cut it into chunks about eight pounds put them on foil-lined baking sheets, covered the sheets and roasted them at 425 degrees until they were very soft, which took about 1 1/2 hours. Then I spent the week making pumpkin recipes.
Find all five pumpkin recipes below. And be sure to check out this interview with chef Dan Barber of Blue Hill restaurant about why more home chefs should try cooking with pumpkin.

She Started Out On A Sitcom On Abc
Jamie appeared in a bunch of TV series, including the ABC sitcom Operation Petticoat, before getting her big break in the 1978 horror movie-cult classic, Halloween, according to IMDB. In Halloween, Jamie played Laurie Strode, high schooler targeted by serial killer Michael Myers.
She probably didn’t make a ton from her sitcom shows, and there’s no exact number floating around out there to know for certain. Her later feature films likely paid way more than these starting roles. But speaking of which…

How Much Did Jamie Lee Curtis Get Paid For Halloween Resurrection And Other Halloween Films
Jamie starred in a bunch of Halloween movies, including Halloween II, Halloween H20: 20 Years Later, and Halloween Resurrection. But she toldVariety that she didnt really start making money on these flicks until Halloween H20: 20 Years Later.
I didnt really make much money off of the horror movies to be perfectly honest, she said. As a young actress, I did not . I did not have ownership in the movies. There was no profit participation. There was no back end. And I didn’t get out for that reason. And I certainly by Halloween 2, which was my last of the six I did in my 20s, I think I got paid OK for the time. But it wasn’t … there was no large amount of money made.
For Halloween H20: 20 Years Later, Jamie said she got paid scale . But then obviously I had a piece of the pie, so of course I’ve made some money off of that movie, she said. But it’s only now. I’m 61. I didn’t legitimately make some money from horror movies until much, much later.
Overall, Jamie made approximately $3.1 million between Halloween, Halloween II and Halloween: Resurrection, according to Celebrity Net Worth.

There are many ways restaurant décor can say welcome: fresh flowers, linen tablecloths, soft lighting.
At Terror Tacos in St. Louis, the welcome is rendered in blood actually, lurid red paint that covers one wall in long drips, like the macabre drapery that Satans gnarled hand might pull back to usher the damned into hell.
Bradley Roach and Brian Roash, brothers and self-described horror-movie geeks, opened Terror Tacos in March. As head chef, Mr. Roach put together an all-vegan menu of tacos and burritos featuring his housemade carnage asada seitan. Mr. Roash, an artist who handles the restaurants marketing, painted the frightful artwork, including a screaming womans face that resembles Shelley Duvallsin The Shining. The band Cradle of Filth often growls over the speakers.
The restaurants brew of horror, extreme metal and veganism is whats drawing repeat customers, Mr. Roach said, including hard-core carnivores. They come back not necessarily because the food is plant-based, he said. Theyre just excited to eat in a place thats bizarre.
Terror Tacos is one of several gore-obsessed restaurants that have opened across the country since last Halloween, despite the pandemic and its restrictions on dining. Its hard to say why. Perhaps horror fans are living their now-or-never dreams. Maybe the restaurants are an antidote to the cheeriness of corporate chains.
Dr Weils Simple Roasted Root Vegetables
Sometime the best foods at Thanksgiving are the simplest, cooked in their natural state with minimal spices to let the original flavor shine through.
Thats certainly the case with the latest contribution to the Eat Well Vegetarian Thanksgiving series. The recipe comes from Dr. Andrew Weil, the popular alternative health physician who espouses the power of healthful eating and simple living as the best way to improve health. When I asked Dr. Weil for a recipe this year, he offered an easy and good dish of roasted root vegetables lightly seasoned with paprika or chili powder. Cooking, he says, should focus on really good food from fresh ingredients without spending a lot of time, work or money on it.
In addition to Dr. Weils roasted root vegetable dish, Ive also included his Thanksgiving contribution from last year, a robust squash soup garnished with walnut-cilantro pesto. And go to Vegetarian Thanksgiving to see all the recipes published in the series so far.
Dr. Andrew WeilsThanksgiving Roasted Root Veggies

I thought it would be fun to celebrate the release of Raina Telgemeiers new book Ghosts with a sweet and spooky frozen treat.
Telgemeier is the #1 New York Times bestselling, multiple Eisner Award-winning author of Smile, Drama and Sisters. Shes created a moving and insightful story about the power of family and friendship, and how it gives us the courage to do what we never thought possible. Ghosts is a whimsical graphic novel full of Mexican culture and traditions. Its a powerful book for young readers and perfect for this time of year!
I love that the book takes place in a city called Bahía de la Luna since Luna is our family name. This is where the ghosts live, so I thought it would be great to make some delicious Ghost milkshakes to celebrate the release of this new book, thus Boo-nilla milkshakes were born!

Which Type Of Chocolate Should I Use
I think my favorite thing about these cookies was the chocolate. Totally by accident, I was out of my usual Ghirardelli baking chips. But I did have Ghirardelli 60% cacao baking bars.
I chopped two of them up and I think I preferred the chopped chocolate to chips. It makes for little flecks of chocolate in each bite.
