How To Make Hershey Acorn Cookies
The first thing you will need to do is to bake the cookies and let them cool. Once that is done, you can start assembling. I tested the measurement of the cookie dough many times to ensure that each cookie would bake up to the right size. It needs to be just slightly larger than the base circumference of a chocolate kiss. That exact measurement is 3/4 teaspoon!
So, lets get started! Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat and set it aside. Next, in a mixing bowl, beat together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add in the egg yolks and vanilla extract. Beat to combine. Now, add the flour and mix into the butter mixture until just combined. Dont over mix!
Portion into 3/4 teaspoon amounts and roll into balls. Roll each ball into the sanding sugar and place on the prepared baking sheet. Use a flat-bottomed drinking glass to slightly flatten the ball. Bake for 10 minutes. Remove from oven and allow cookie to cool on the baking sheet for 3-5 minutes. Transfer the cookies to a wire cooling rack to finish cooling.

- When ready, melt a small amount of chocolate. Place a toothpick in the melted chocolate and put a dab of melted chocolate in the center of the top of the acorn. Then put a mini-chocolate chip on top of the melted chocolate.
- Repeat until you have the desired number of acorns. Let sit until firm.

Take the peanut butter-half of each Nutter Butter Bite and firmly press a Hershey’s Kiss into the peanut butter. Using a toothpick, carefully apply a small amount of the melted chocolate chips to the bottom of each mini chocolate chip. Stick the mini chocolate chip into the middle of the cookie part of the Chocolate Acorn.
Spread the flat side each kiss with a small amount of melted chocolate immediately attach to a cookie. Use a toothpick or knife to place a small dollop of melted chocolate on the top of the cookie press the flat side of a chocolate chip into the chocolate on the cookie. Place the acorns on waxed lined baking sheets refrigerate until set.

Candy Cane Kiss Cookies
This recipe is similar to the peanut butter blossoms, only theyre a mint-flavored sugar cookie with chopped Hersheys Candy Cane Kisses.
Much like that peanut butter version, these need to be rolled into balls and baked just like that, so they dont spread too much.
Since the cookies have chopped up chocolate inside, and youll add an extra to the top, you dont really need the added extract in the dough.
It should be plenty minty without it.

Combine flour and cocoa blend into creamed mixture. Add pecans beat on low speed until well blended. Chill dough 1 hour or until firm enough to handle. Shape scant tablespoon of dough around each unwrapped Kiss, covering completely shape into balls. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes or until almost set.
Lift the cracker from the chocolate, gently wipe away any excess chocolate, and set the cracker on the prepared baking sheet, chocolate-side up. Press a Hersheys kiss into the wet chocolate in the middle of the cracker. Repeat process with remaining crackers, chocolate, and Hersheys kisses. Refrigerate until chocolate is set, about 5 minutes.
