| 1 tablespoon cornstarch |
| 2 teaspoons green pepper flakes |
| 1/4 teaspoon instant minced garlic |
| 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes |
| 3/4 teaspoon italian seasoning |
| 1/2 teaspoon basil |
Steps:
- 1. Combine all ingredients in a small bowl and blend well. Store in a cool, dry place. Keeps 6 months. Makes about 1/3 cup of mix
- 2. HOW TO MAKE SPAGHETTI SAUCE: Boil your pasta and drain, don’t rinse. Brown one pound of lean ground beef in a medium skillet over medium high heat. Drain excess grease. Add three 8 ounce cans of tomato sauce, one 6 ounce can of tomato paste, 2 3/4 cups of tomato juice or water, and the seasoning mix. Reduce heat and simmer 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Diy Spaghetti Sauce Seasoning Mix
I love to make my own seasoning mixes. For one thing, they are way less expensive than the pre-packaged envelopes of seasoning you buy at the store. This DIY Spaghetti Sauce Mix is really easy to make and I usually have all of the ingredients in my spice cupboard. Plus, I know what goes into it! This recipe is simple, and it makes a delicious Spaghetti Sauce Around our house, we love just about any kind of pasta. In fact, my husband could eat a bowl of spaghetti with meat sauce for just about any meal. Even breakfast!
You can add ground beef or Italian sausage and make this into a hearty meat sauce if you want to.
Heres what goes into the DIY Spaghetti Sauce dry seasoning mix:
1 beef boullion cube, crushed
2 teaspoons cornstarch
½ teaspoon garlic powder
dash of black pepper
Use right away or label and store in an airtight container or zipper seal bag for up to 2 months.
To make a hearty meat sauce, brown 1 pound of ground beef or Italian Sausage in a Non-Stick Skillet. Drain fat. Add the dry seasoning mix. If needed, add salt to taste.
Then add:
1 large can crushed tomatoes
1 8 oz. can tomato sauce
1/2 cup hot water
Stir well and simmer uncovered about 20 minutes. I like use a Splatter Screen Cover to put on top of my pot while the sauce simmers. It allows the steam to escape and allows the sauce to thicken. Plus, it helps to keep the sauce from splattering all over my stove top!
Serve over hot pasta with some Twisted Breadsticks and a big green salad!

Ingredients:
- 1 tsp. beef boullion granules
- 2 tsp. cornstarch
- dash of black pepper
Mix all the above ingredients together and store in a ziploc bag or mason jar. This recipe replaces one packet of store bought mix.
To prepare the spaghetti, brown 1 pound of ground beef. Stir in seasoning mix, 1 large can crushed tomatoes , 1 8-ounce can tomato sauce, 1/2 c. water.
Heat for approximately 20 minutes or until mixture is heated through. Serve with cooked spaghetti noodles.
