How To Make Slow Cooker Ranch Chicken
There is a tiny bit of prep work for this chicken. Combine cream cheese, ranch seasoning, chicken broth, and cream of chicken soup in a saucepan. Heat the mixture just until the cheese has melted and is smooth. Place the chicken in the crockpot and pour the sauce on top. Cover and cook on LOW until the chicken is done. Heating the sauce on the stovetop for a minute will eliminate any chunks or curdling from the cream cheese.
- Can use any cut of chicken you prefer breasts, thighs, or tenderloins.
- I prefer to use Philadelphia Cream Cheese in this recipe. I find that it melts the best.
- If you are sensitive to the ranch dressing mix, adjust the amount to your personal preference.
- Here is the recipe to our Homemade Ranch Dressing Mix:
- For a gluten-free dish, use gluten-free cream of chicken soup and serve over rice or potatoes.
- Feel free to add vegetables to the mixture potatoes or broccoli would be delicious.
- I serve the chicken as whole breasts. Feel free to shred the chicken if you prefer.

Tender, juicy chicken covered in a creamy sauce slow cooked to perfection. This 3 ingredient Crock Pot ranch chicken is fool proof. Dump it in, set it, and forget it .
Crock Pot dinners are at least a once weekly meal in our house. I work late one night a week and will often throw dinner in the Crock Pot in the morning before I head to work. By the time the hubby and kids get home dinner is ready.
Here is another Crock Pot dinner idea.
What You Need To Make Creamy Ranch Chicken
chicken breasts, butter, cream of chicken soup, cream cheese, chicken broth, Hidden Valley Ranch Dressing Mix, minced garlic, paprika, dried oregano and dried parsley flakes
HOW TO MAKE CREAMY RANCH CHICKEN IN THE SLOW COOKER/CROCK POT
Lightly spray slow cooker with non-stick cooking spray. Place chicken in a single layer in cooker. Sprinkle chicken breasts with paprika and dry ranch mix, coating chicken evenly then drizzle 1 tablespoon of butter on top. Cook on low for 4 hours.
In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt remaining tablespoon of butter then add garlic, sauteing lightly. Next add cream of chicken soup, chicken broth, cream cheese, oregano and parsley mix well over medium heat until heated through. Pour sauce over chicken breasts and cook an additional 1 1/2 to 2 hours on low.
I had every intention of making this in the crock pot, but didnt get it in the slow cooker in time. I decided to go ahead and bake it in the oven instead. The end result was a fantastic dinner that everyone enjoyedpure comfort food. I served the chicken and sauce over white rice with a side of steamed broccoli. I highly recommend serving broccoli if you decide to make this dish, the combination is wonderful. The recipe on Food.com recommends serving the chicken and sauce over egg noodles. Our youngest has an egg allergy, so I served it over rice and it was delicious.

How To Make Crockpot Chicken Ranch Tacos:
- Add Chicken Crock Pot Place the chicken breasts in the crock pot. We use frozen chicken.
- Mix in Ingredients Pour salsa on top and sprinkle with taco seasoning and ranch dressing mix.
- Cook Chicken Ranch Tacos Cover and slow cook on low for 8 hours. Cook on high for 4 or 4 ½ hours. Cooking time will vary based on your crock pot.
- Shred the chicken Shred chicken and put back in the crock pot to soak up juices.
- Serve and Enjoy Serve on tortillas or rice for an amazing weeknight meal.

How To Make Crockpot Creamy Ranch Chicken
- 1Wash and dry chicken breasts and place them evenly in crock pot. Sprinkle with paprika.
- 2Sprinkle 1/2 the package of Hidden Valley Ranch salad dressing mix over chicken.
- 3Drizzle chicken breasts with 2 tablespoons melted butter.
- 4Cover and cook on low for 3-4 hours.
- 5In a pan, melt remaining 2 tablespoons butter in a medium saucepan along with minced garlic and saute slightly. Add the rest of the Ranch dressing, the cream of chicken soup, 8 oz. of cream cheese cubes OR sour cream, 1/2 cup chicken broth, dried parsley flakes, and dried oregano . Stir on medium heat until smooth.
- 6Pour mixture over the chicken in crock pot, cover again and continue to cook on low for 1 1/2 hours to 2 hours.
- 7Serve over buttered egg noodles, bow tie pasta or rice.
