- After the low-carb barbecue sauce is done, allow it to cool on the stovetop for a few minutes before blending. After you’ve blended it, transfer the sauce to a glass jar and store it in the fridge for up to two weeks.
- When blending, do not close the small cap on the lid. Keep it propped open slightly and place a towel on top to prevent the sauce from splashing and to allow steam to vent out. This is important because blending hot liquids causes pressure to form inside the blender.
- The flavor of the sauce will taste a little more intense by the next day. I find it has more of a smoky flavor and a little bit more heat . If it’s not as sweet as you’d like, you can easily stir in a few more drops of monk fruit!

How To Make Vegan Low Carb Bread

Step 1: making the bread dough
Start by adding the almond flour, coconut flour, ground flaxseeds, psyllium husk, baking powder, and salt to a large bowl and whisk together. Next, add the canola oil, water, and apple cider vinegar and mix with a spatula or wooden spoon until it comes together. Continue kneading with your hands briefly until it forms a dough.
Note: The dough will be wet and sticky first, but after a few minutes as the fiber absorbs the liquid, it will become firmer.
Step 2: Shape into a loaf
Now shape the dough into a loaf so thats a little smaller than your pan . Then smooth out the surface with damp hands gently.
Tip: Please be careful while shaping and try to not press the dough too much, or the loaf will be dense.
Step 3: Top with seeds or kernels and bake!
Now place the loaf on a piece of parchment paper and lift it into the pan. Sprinkle with sunflower seeds as desired and bake for 60-70 minutes in a preheated oven at 400°F , or until a skewer inserted into the center of your loaf comes out clean. Once done baking, lift the loaf out of the pan using the overhanging parchment paper. Place onto a wire rack and allow it to cool completely before slicing.
Tip: If the top gets too dark during baking, cover loosely with parchment paper.

How To Make Vegan Low
- Mix all the dry ingredients–the flours, egg replacer, baking powder and baking soda and salt — in a bowl.
- Add the yogurt and almond milk to the bowl and mix. If the batter seems a bit dry, add more almond milk, but keep in mind this shouldn’t look like a regular pancake batter–it will be thicker, scoopable but not pourable.
- Heat a griddle and brush it generously with oil. Using a quarter cup measure, scoop out pancakes on the hot griddle and help form them into rounds using the bottom of the cup. Give the pancakes time to set–it will take a little longer than it does for regular wheat pancakes. When you see bubbles toward the center and the edges look dry, carefully slide a thin spatula under the pancake and flip. These pancakes are tender, especially when they are hot, so be careful or they could fall apart. The first few times you might want to make smaller pancakes to make flipping them easier.
- Cook the other side a little longer than you would regular pancakes because, again, these will take some time to set up and you don’t want raw batter in the middle. Remove when golden brown on both sides and firm.
- Let the pancakes stand about five minutes after you’ve cooked them before you serve.

Serving Suggestions For Keto Vegan Rolls
I created this recipe right before the fall and winter holidays. So I do have Keto Vegan Bread Rolls in mind as a side dish for the holiday table. In that setting, dinner rolls are a classic feast item to serve with butter and jam.
These rolls are also great any day of the year for breakfasts, lunches, snacks or dinners.
For meals Serve with veggie-foods, like avocado, cucumbers, hummus, nut butters or tahini. For non-vegan: Serve with meats, smoked salmon and various cheeses.
How To Make Keto Vegan Bread Rolls
These rolls come together very simply. Youll stir together the dry ingredients and then use an electric mixer to blend in the wet ingredients. You may also mix the recipe by hand.
After mixing, scoop the dough together in your mixing bowl, so its a big dough ball. Let this rest for 10 minutes, during which time the psyllium absorbs the water in the recipe.
Dump the dough onto a cutting board or lined cookie sheet and use a knife to cut it in pie-shaped equal portions. Roll these in your palms to make round rolls.
Arrange the rolls on a parchment lined baking sheet. You can place the rolls pretty close to each other if you want them to bake together otherwise space them about 2 apart.
Brush the tops with your choice:
- olive oil
- water and a sprinkling of seeds
- water and a sprinkling of dried garlic or onion
- egg yolks + water
Finishing the crust with various toppings creates different effects. I like water + seeds/spices or the egg yolk effect the best for this bread, depending on your diet. No finish creates a dull finish, so I recommend it.
