The chicken was so moist and flavorful, but a slow cooker isn’t going to give you crispy skin.

The key to crispy skin is to pop it under the broiler for a few minutes.

Cooking chicken low and slow means it will tend to fall apart a little. Instead of pulling it out of the slow cooker whole, I sliced the chicken up and then crisped the skin under the broiler for a few minutes.

My kids end up taking the skin off anyway, so next time I probably won’t even need to turn the oven on.
