Why We Love Low

Andis asked me to write a bit about low-carb meals today a topic I am veeeeeerry interested in. For the past few months, Ive been on a low-carb, high-fat diet called the ketogenic diet. I wrote a ginormous explanation of this on my own blog if you want to have a look, but basically, the keto diet turns your body into a FAT BURNING MACHINE.

There is also a whole heap of other health benefits that come with this diet, but I like it because you dont have to count calories. Plus, it gives you a clearer mind and stops bloating. Also bacon. And peanut butter. Sometimes together. What a glorious combination. Im not necessarily aiming to lose weight with this diet, although a couple of kilograms would be nice. I just find that I feel my best inside and out when I eat low-carb foods, and so Ill continue to eat this way for a long while yet. Any diet where halloumi is not only acceptable but encouraged is okay with me.

Garlic Butter Parmesan Meatballs

Few foods are as universally pleasing as meatballs.

Meatballs are juicy, and they can be made from any type of ground meat, including ground beef, ground turkey, and ground pork.

This meatball recipe uses the perfect flavors of Parmesan cheese, herbs, and garlic.

The spices used in the meatballs are fresh parsley, oregano, and crushed red pepper flakes. The six garlic cloves make this dish even yummier.

To make the garlic Parmesan sauce, you need chicken broth or chicken stock. Alternatively, you can also use beef stock or beef broth.

While you can use whatever sausage you prefer, but I used Sams Choice All Natural Beef Smoked Sausage from Walmart. It has a great flavor, and it is only 1g carbs. If you choose another brand of sausage, youll want to check the carb count.
