Omit the wintergreen if using during pregnancy, with children under the age of 18, with pets in the house, if you are taking aspirin, if you have ANY blood disorder, if you have recently had surgery, or if you have any history of GERD, ulcers, epilepsy, or seizures.

Now Pay Attention With Each Blend As To How You React To The Recipe

• Do the scents blend well to you?
• Do they lead you to a great sense of peace and grounding?
• Do the essential oils work well together or do they seem striking or overwhelming to you?
• Is there an oil in the recipe that just doesnt seem like its working for you right now?

If any combination doesnt strike you at first you might try another recipe blend for the moment. Ive found that if an essential oil doesnt strike my fancy at the moment or in a certain combination, that it will be brought back to my mind at a later time when its exactly what Im needing.

Remember: Just because you dont like an essential oil in a single recipe or at this specific time doesnt mean you wont love it tomorrow in an entirely different recipe.

Dont be afraid to experience the essential oils in different combinations to see which blends work well for you. Everyone perceives the essential oil scents differently and react to the aromas on a personal level.

I like to diffuse a recipe for about 20 minutes and then see how I feel about it in that space and time. It might have been exactly what I needed to simply clear the air and move into the next part of my day.

Yl Purification Copycat Recipe

A DIY version of Young Livings Purification blend is easier to make than you might think. The tricky thing is adjusting the sizes correctly and getting the smell right when it was diffused.

I have done all the testing, math, and recipe creation for you!

Please make sure to blend this recipe in sequence. That is, start with the first oil listed, add the next, etc. Work from top down.

This recipe makes a small 5 ml bottle of DIY Purification Blend. Start with an empty 5 ml amber glass bottle. You can clean and recycle a previously used one, or get some new ones off . Youll need around 100 drops of essential oils to fill your 5 ml bottle.

A Note On Blending Essential Oils

As discussed in our blog post about synergy blends , the different types of Essential Oils can be categorized as top, middle, and base notes depending on their potency and scent profile. Mint and Citrus Essential Oils possess a fresh, zesty, or peppy scent profile that has an immediate kick upon the first whiff, making them effective top notes. Herbaceous and Floral Oils are softer and can have a lasting impact when diffused or blended with other oils. This makes them the ideal middle note. Due to their grounding, earthy nature, Woodsy Essential Oils can act as middle notes or assume the role of base notes to support the other oils in the blend.

Typically, the middle note assumes the largest amount of a diffuser blend, occupying 75% of the formula. Meanwhile, the top note takes up 20%, and the base note only 5%. This is not the only composition for diffusing Essential Oils. For a more balanced blend, another ideal ratio is the 3:5:2, or 30% top note, 50% middle, and 20% base note.

Why Make Your Own Essential Oils Blends

I love making my own essential oils blends. Of course, it’s totally fine to buy the blends pre made, and it’s very convenient to do so, but for some of the same reasons that I make my own Homemade Seasoning Blends, I like making my own essential oils blends. Others you may like are my DIY Antibacterial Blend , DIY Hair Growth Blend, Essential Oils for Energy, and this DIY Breathe Blend, and there will be more to come.

• Control over ingredients: Of course, if you are buying pure oils, then making your own blends won’t really help you as far as keeping adulterants, etc. out of your oils blends, but if you want a particular blend and there is one ingredient that you can’t use , then you can leave that out and still use the rest of the blend.

Also, typically Fractionated Coconut Oil is used as a carrier oil, but other oils like almond and sesame, etc. are sometimes used and blends are sometimes pre-diluted. By making your own blends, you control everything, including the carrier oil.

• Save Money by not paying extra: Additionally, it is less expensive to make your own blends.
• Save Money by not wasting oils: You can use your single oils as is, or use them in blends, therefore potentially not buying as many oils and having single oils go to waste.

Purification Blend Cost Comparison

When discussing Young Living oils, the price is always a talking point. Thus, I have created this easy price comparison chart for you to see how much you stand to save by buying from another company, or making your own blend using Plant Therapy essential oils, and the proper variety of Myrtle from Edens Garden.

To keep the math easy, I have taken prices for 10 ml bottles. A 10ml bottle of essential oil contains approximately 200-250 drops. Again, for easiest math I assumed the bottle yields just 200 drops. You can save even more if you buy larger bottles of oil, such as the 30 ml size.

Here is the math:

• Citronella essential oil, 10 ml for $7.95. Out of this bottle, 15 drops is $0.59.

Why Use The Purification Blend

Essential oil blends such as the Purification essential oil blend can often be used as a good option to improve indoor air quality.

Modern houses are more densely sealed than houses were in the past. This leads to more toxins circulating inside our homes today. While airtight homes of the modern society are fantastic energy savers, they also need to address the issue of indoor air quality.

I use a Purification type blend for our bathroom spray, to eliminate pet odors, or deodorize smelly shoes. With ingredients such as Citronella and Lemongrass oils, the scent is fresh and invigorating. Its perfect to use in DIY cleaning recipes as well.

Homemade Car Cleaning Wipes

This all-purpose solution is great for hard car interior surfaces. A microfiber cloth works well, but for stubborn, textured areas, an old toothbrush can help. The oil adds a bit of shine and helps repel dust

• 1 cup distilled water
• 6 drops Sals Suds or Branch Basics concentrate
• 20 drops essential oil

Combine all of the ingredients in a glass spray bottle and shake to combine.

To use: Give the bottle a good shake right before spraying the mix onto a damp rag. Use the cloth to wipe down hard surfaces in the car. A little goes a long way here!

While you may get a good deal, knowing who you’re purchasing from is difficult. There are many counterfeit essential oils being sold that are causing health ailments, major skin reactions, and a lot of misery. These are NOT high quality essential oils. They are fakes being sold purely for profit.

I STRONGLY suggest you know the company that makes your oils, how the plants are cared for, what they do for distilling, how and how many times each batch is tested , and their bottling processes. Many companies throw out fancy language for marketing purposes, but actually have no clue how their oils are made because the oils come from a broker . Transparency is key.

Their Purification® blend is very nice, but I believe I can achieve a finished product that is just as excellent and save money, too.

I call my version Clean and Fresh.

Purification® is simply a blend of essential oils that are known for their specific properties. Diy Purify Natural Cleaning Spray

Ways To Use Purification

• Diffuse to make the room smell fresh and clean.
• Diffuse to cleanse your body and home.
• Place a few drops onto cotton balls and place in air vents as an insect repellent and room deodorizer. This is also great for deodorizing your car too!
• Mix with baking soda and sprinkle on the floor to clean and deodorize carpet, then vacuum.
• Add to paint to reduce paint fumes while painting .
• Make your own DIY Purification Spray: add a few drops Purification essential oil blend with 1 part witch hazel 3 parts water in a spray bottle, shake and spray to use as a nontoxic bug spray.
• Add a drop of Purification to your skin care products or dilute and apply to breakout areas to help support healthy skin.
• Add a few drops to a cotton ball and place in the toes of your shoes to freshen stinky shoes .
• Add a few drops in vinegar to your laundrys rinse cycle as a nontoxic fabric softener.
• Add a few drops to dryer balls to freshen your laundry’s scent.
• Add a 30 drops of Purification, 20 drops of Tangerine, and 25 drops of Abundance Essential Oil Blend to a spray bottle of water, shake and spray to freshen linens, curtains, and carpets.
• We used this spray on our old house before showing it. It sold for full price in less than a week of listing!

Essential Oils For The Car Filter

Adding a few drops of purifying and germ fighting essential oils to the car filter freshens the ventilation system. A few drops of lemongrass helps prevent mildew, or germ fighting blend reduces unwanted pathogens.

The scent is most noticeable when the air or heat is on and not for an extended time. However its still enough to help clean out the cars ventilation system, which deals with a lot of pollution!

There are a number of brands of essential oil diffuser and many are quite reasonably priced. If youâre using a diffuser for intense therapeutic effects, youâll want to do some research before you choose one, but this one is a good, basic, no-frills diffuser.
