How To Cut A Jalapeno:

Spicy Jalapeno & Bacon Flatbread Recipe | PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese

Anytime you are cutting a jalapeno, make sure you are wearing gloves! We had a funny story in my family when my Dad was cutting jalapenos without gloves then went to the bathroom, not knowing he had some remnants on his hands.

It was not a happy experience for him, and while we laugh about it now, it was not fun for him at the time! So wear gloves, as the oils in the peppers can be very painful.

After slicing a jalapeno in half, use a spoon to scoop out the seeds and inner membranes. The seeds and membrane are where the peppers spice or heat comes, so feel free to leave a little bit if you like an extra kick in your bite.

How Long Are These Cream Cheese Jalapeno Poppers Good For

Philly Cheesesteak Jalapeno Poppers

SERVE: Like most things with dairy products and meat, you can keep them out for no longer than two hours before they will need to be refrigerated.

STORE: Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 2-3 days.

FREEZE: If you plan on freezing these, I suggest freezing them BEFORE baking. You can freeze them after baking, but they will lose their shape once defrosted. Freeze precooked poppers by placing them in an airtight container. Freeze for 3-4 months. You can bake them from frozen add about 5 minutes to the baking time.

How To Make Jalapeno Poppers In The Air Fryer:

    • prepare jalapenos-cut and remove the seeds from the jalapeno
    • mix ingredients-stir cream cheese and seasoning together
    • stuff peppers-spoon cheese mixture into pepper. You can secure with a toothpick if you would like.
    • air fry-place stuffed peppers in the air fryer basket and air fry until the peppers are slightly charred. Cook time varies on air fryer but roughly 7-10 minutes.

    Jalapeno Cream Cheese Dip Notes

CREAM CHEESE: I recommend using regular, block-style, full-fat cream cheese here because it will make the creamiest dip, but you can sub in low fat if you like.

SOUR CREAM: Again, full-fat will give the best flavor and texture for this dip, but if you want to, you can sub in greek yogurt!

JALAPENOS: Be sure to de-seed the fresh jalapeños or else this dip will get spicy quick! However, if you like a spicy cream cheese dip, add the seeds in and take it one step further with added cayenne pepper or red pepper flakes!

ONION POWDER & GARLIC POWDER They add the best flavor to this dip, dont skip these additions!

GREEN ONION You can substitute in chives as well.

CILANTRO Leave this out if youre not a cilantro lover, but I love the extra zest it gives this jalapeno dip!

SALT & PEPPER More or less, to taste!

SPICE IT UP Add cayenne pepper, red pepper flakes and the seeds from the jalapeno peppers in your dip if you want a spicier version!

CHEESY ADDITIONS Want to add cheese to this dip? Id recommend 1/4 cup of grated parmesan cheese or a little bit of sharp cheddar cheese.

    Jalapeo Cream Cheese Dip Recipe

Several months ago I had a cream cheese dip similar to this one at a party. It was amazing!

Does anyone else get invited to a lot of parties meant to sell you products? The amount of invitations I receive is astounding, but I try to go if I can to support my friends.

The great upside to these parties are the appetizers that the host will invariably serve.

I can say no to handbags, jewelry and candles, but I cant pass up a party platter!

Im afraid I made somewhat of a pig of myself as I devoured this jalapeño cream cheese dip, but it was so good I could not stop eating it!

I decided to recreate the cream cheese dip recipe at home with my own special touches.

Its been a favorite dip ever since then, quite possibly surpassing the crowd-pleasing Chili Cheese Bean Dip and my favorite Fiesta Bean Dip!

While many people look forward to autumn for the changing leaves and pumpkin spiced everything, I most look forward to football season starting and all the delicious dips that go along with Sunday gatherings.

Im not sure how to describe it other than that its a loaded cream cheese dip.

It has cheddar cheese, green chiles, jalapeños and bacon! I love chips and dip so much I could eat them for breakfast, lunch and dinner!

The jalapeño peppers give it the tiniest bit of kick, which I love.

If youre making it for your family or a crowd who you know can handle the heat, use hot jalapeños instead of mild! The cream cheese keeps things cool enough.

Jalapeno Jelly & Cream Cheese Spread

    cracker

    Steps:

Stuffed Jalapenos Make The Best Appetizers

Now, you may have seen some of these stuffed jalapenos around before. But these are the best yet! Why? Maybe Im partial cause I made them. That is very possible. But I I like to believe it is because I used flavored Philadelphia Cream Cheese!

Have you tried some of the flavored Philly cream cheese spread? They have a lot of great flavors. We love the fruit flavors on bagels. And the more savory flavors for dips. So it wasnt much of a stretch for me to grab the Chive & Onion and the Garden Vegetable the last time I was at Walmart. They have great flavor and great in a variety of dishes.

    Category:

The best part is that these bacon wrapped stuffed jalapenos are super easy to make!

Just slice open the jalapenos length wise. Then spoon out the seeds. Now if you need extra spicy you are welcome to leave the seeds in. But Mind you. The more seeds the hotter it will be. I cant handle it so out the seeds come!

Stuff the jalapenos with as much of the Philly cream cheese spread as you want. I stuffed half of the jalapenos with the Chive & Onion and the other half with the Garden Vegetable.

Wrap each stuffed jalapeno with a strip of bacon.

Then bake in the preheated oven at 350 for 20-30 minutes. If the bacon isnt fully cooked, then turn the oven to broil. Cook for another 5 minutes. Keep an eye on it to make sure it doesnt burn. But it will crisp up the bacon rather nicely and quickly.

    Then Enjoy!

    Jalapeno Cream Cheese Dip

by Angela Coleby · This post may contain affiliate links · This blog generates income via ads ·

Jalapeno cream cheese dip is a thick and spicy welcome to a crispy cracker. It is simple and quick to make too.

This jalapeno dip is just so easy to make. Its simply throw the ingredients into a food processor, press the button and blitz. Even the Chief Taster could make this with no disaster or kitchen related emergency. If you have a block of cheese and a few jalapeno in your fridge, you can make a dip! If you dont like it too spicy, reduce the number of jalapeno. I threw 4 into my dip and it was spicy. Perhaps add one at a time and taste test it if you are a bit nervous of the spice. I find that jalapeno vary in heat. The ones sold in Barbados were mild but the ones in Aruba are a lot hotter.

Although Ive called this a dip the consistency is quite thick, almost bordering on spread territory. Once blitzed and you dont like the consistency, add some more cream to thin it out more.

I was taste testing this jalapeno cream cheese dip with my goat cheese crackers to test them as a dip. That was a lot of bold flavours but I was in an adventurous mood that day . The Chief Taster came in towards the end of the taste test which taught me not to linger over my food. It meant I had to share the jalapeno dip. He ate it like he had not been fed for a few days and declared it delicious.

Serve this low carb dip with crudites or a keto pita bread.

    • Jalapeno Cream Cheese Dip is a cold appetizer. This makes it perfect for summer or times when you have way too many things cooking in the kitchen already.
    • You can make this dip ahead and stick it in the fridge until youre ready, which is always helpful for low-stress entertaining.
    • You dont have to form it into a ball, it can be molded into any shape or served in a bowl if you want. No judgment here!
    • You could probably dip a shoe into Jalapeno Cream Cheese Dip and it would taste great, so grab veggies, pretzels, chips, crackers, or whatever floats your boat to complement all the yum.

    • This easy appetizer goes fantastic with an ice-cold beer or margarita. If your mouth isnt watering right now, you might want to check your pulse.

How To Make Baked Cream Cheese Jalapeno Poppers

First, slice the jalapeno peppers in half and core out the insides. I like to use a spoon to make it easy, but a knife or a jalapeno corer will work great, too.

Set the cored hot peppers onto a lightly oiled baking sheet. Just line the baking sheet.

Next, in a medium bowl, combine your cheeses and spices. Here, we’re using softened cream cheese, mild white cheddar, chili powder, garlic, cumin, and salt and pepper.

Mix it all together. Like so.

Fill each jalapeno pepper with the seasoned cheese mixture. You might have some leftover, depending on the size of your peppers. Just distribute evenly.

Bake the jalapeno poppers about 20 minutes, or until the peppers soften and the cheeses are bubbly. It could be up to 30 minutes. The cheesy stuffing will be nice and golden brown.

Remove from heat, cool slightly, then dust with chili powder and spicy chili flakes.

    BOOM! DONE!

You’ve got yourself some crazy awesome baked jalapeno poppers and they’re ready to serve! Set them loose and stand back. You don’t want to lose an arm in there.

Seriously, people go CRAZY for these! Beware. Really, you may want to make a double or even triple batch of these. Make friends. Influence people. With poppers.

Can I Make These On The Grill

Of course! You can make this recipe on the grill instead of in the oven. To do so, follow all of the recipe instructions for coring out the jalapenos. Go ahead and mix your cream cheese stuffing.

When you’re ready to get cooking, preheat the grill to medium heat, or 350 degrees F. if you can control the temperature.

Grill or bake them on the grill for 20 to 30 minutes, or until the cheeses are nice and bubbly. That’s it! You can top them with crumbly bread crumbs if you’d like for extra crunch.

    Enjoy them!
