Factoring In The Variables

Write down the number of calories, carbs, and other nutrients that each meal component comprises in terms of weight and volume. If you have 21 grams of honey, you might want to note next to it that it includes 64 calories and 17 grams of carbohydrates. Repeat the process for each component. Add the nutrients in each component to get the totals for the recipe, making sure to keep calories, carbs, and any other nutrients youve chosen distinct from each other. Add up the 64 calories from the honey with the 46 calories from the oats and the 37 calories from the dried cranberries for a total of 147 calories, as shown below. But for right now, there are no nutrition facts listed with my recipes. One of the main reasons being that there are far too many variables involved, from various brands of ingredients offering wildly varying nutrition facts, to slight mis-measurements on your end, portion size discrepancies and so much more.
