Banana Honey And Oatmeal Face Mask

HOW TO MAKE STRAWBERRY TONER FOR FACE & DRY SKIN (Moisturizing Facial Toner Recipe)

This exfoliating face mask will deep cleanse your skin. To make this exfoliating face mask, in a blender add 1/2 ripe banana, 1/2 cup of oatmeal and 1 tablespoon of honey and blend well until it becomes a creamy paste. Apply it evenly on your face and after 15 minutes exfoliate your face with the mask by massaging it in circular motion while rinsing it off with warm water. Pat your face dry and apply some moisturizer.

Coffee And Cocoa Facial Scrub

You’ll enjoy a brilliant glow after using a coffee and cocoa face scrub. It adds brightness to any skin tone and can even reduce puffiness. Get a teaspoon of ground coffee , another teaspoon of chocolate powder, and two geranium oil drops to a small bowl. Apply the scrub on clean and dry skin, avoiding the eye area. You can leave it there for 10 minutes and rinse in lukewarm water later.

The secret is in the caffeine found in both of the main ingredients. “Caffeine is a natural way to stimulate blood flow, which can result in tighter skin, and is great for eliminating fluid retention that makes your face feel puffy or inflamed,” says Sobel. When you add honey and a dairy product like milk or yogurt, it’s even better and ultra-moisturizing. Sobel instructs that it’s best to use this once a week, especially if you have sensitive skin or have other products you use with exfoliating benefits.

Although some facial scrubs can be used on the body, the other way around is not always safe. The skin on the body is not as sensitive or as oily as the face, so they need to be treated differently.

Avocado Aloe Vera & Olive Oil Face Mask

  • 1 teaspoon of olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon of aloe vera

For this mask, it’s very important to crush up the avocado. It’s pretty messy on its own, but big chunks make it even worse since they won’t stick to your face. That aside, this is the most moisturizing mask I’ve ever used.

According to King, the oil from the avocados has a multitude of skin benefits. The mask’s superhero ingredient, avocado oil, is filled with vitamins like C and E, which provide antioxidants to the skin, while fatty acids help moisturize and protect the skin barrier.

Meanwhile, the olive oil helps with moisture levels, as it’s both a humectant and emollient . Aloe vera is a well documented topical treatment for wounds and burns, thanks to its anti-inflammatory properties, and it’s also a humectant.

Does your skin need some extra TLC?

This recipe is really easy to make and the results will leave your skin feeling extra soft and plump.

    Ingredient Benefits:

Seaweed contains vitamin E and amino acids which act as a hydrant to the skin. It also has antioxidants such as vitamins B and C that help to heal skin and clear pigmentation.

Omega, zinc, and magnesium are also found in seaweed. These help the skin to heal any infections or acne.

In this Seaweed Facial Mask Recipe, I use kelp powder. Kelp is a type of seaweed known as brown algae. Kelp is larger than other types of seaweed and contains iodine which is essential for womens health.

Kelp powder does have a distinct smell, not so pleasant to most, so the grapefruit and lavender essential oils help to mask that aroma.

Avocado oil and aloe vera gel are also very moisturizing to the skin. This recipe has lots of goodness in it! Yay!

Pineapple And Papaya Facial Exfoliating Mask

You can get the same effect for a fraction of the cost with an easy DIY pineapple and papaya mask recipe. Mash 1/4 cup of cubed fresh pineapple and 1/4 cup of cubed fresh papaya together, then add two tablespoons of brown sugar, one tablespoon of sweet almond oil, and another tablespoon of honey. Apply to your face skin and leave it for a few minutes. Rinse with lukewarm water.

The enzymes in papaya can decrease inflammation, help reduce acne and also avoid small bumps on the skin, while pineapple is a great source of vitamin C and antioxidants that help to treat acne and sun damage. Still, this is not the best skin treatment if you have sensitive skin. Experts alert that pineapple and other citrus fruits can exacerbate any sensitivity issues. “Anything acidic in high concentration can cause your skin to become inflamed and irritated,” says Goldenberg.
